Intelligent Backup Intervention works in concert with the rearview camera to keep you safe. It kicks in whenever you put the car in reverse, using a variety of sensors to detect stationary objects behind your ride as well as crossing vehicles. A video feed is shown on the center console touchscreen so you can keep track of everything going on outside; further, if you do start to pull out into traffic, the technology can actually autonomously engage the brakes to help you avoid a collision.

Notably, Intelligent Backup Intervention isnâ€™t the only thing the 2018 Armada SL has going for it. Itâ€™s wickedly powerful and comes packed with a 5.6L V8 that produces 390 horsepower and 394 lb.-ft. of torque.
