With the release of the 2018 Titan XD, Nissan seeks to shatter this expectation - delivering a pick-up that proves both brawny and beautiful. No compromise is needed.

According to Car and Driver, the 2018 Titan XD is masterfully designed. Its lean profile - 242.7-inches long, 79.5-inches wide, and 78-inches high - brands it as unique in the segment, with its main competitors (the Ford F-150 and RAM 2500) proving hulking in comparison. 17-inch silver-painted steel wheels deliver five-spoke styling, while skid plates line the undercarriage. A chrome grille offers hexagonal mesh inserts; LED daytime running lights line the front; and black-capped mirrors feature wide angle-lenses and extendable bars, anchoring the sleek side panels.

According to Four Wheeler, Nissan has set its sights on the culinary world - introducing Seattle food fans to its Smokinâ€™ Titan. This XD pick-up offers custom performance, with its chassis tailored for those who love to play, and prep, hard. An aluminum liner now defines the bed, delivering durability. A Partner Steel double-burner oven has been placed along the interior wheel-walls, while a Churrasco cutting board folds out from the sides. Step onto the running boards to quickly access the integrated 24x24 sink (a water system rests directly beneath the rear bay); and slide into the cabin to open an ARB refrigerator. Itâ€™s tucked beneath the flat-folding floor panels, along with an available spice rack.

The 2018 Titan XD has been engineered for epicurists - with Nissan fusing it with a series of dry-smoker boxes and char-grille sliding trays. These utilize the brandâ€™s signature Utili-Track cleats to move freely across the bed, ensuring easy access for chefs as they chop, cut, and cure.

It seems the smallest of dimensions - a mere three inches. What good, you wonder, could such a so-called upgrade provide?

Nissan is quick to remind Seattle drivers that bigger doesnâ€™t always prove better - and sometimes the tiniest of improvements can yield massive effects. Get ready for the newly enhanced 2018 Titan XD!

According to CNET, the 2018 Titan XD will now offer an exclusive suspension lift kit - which will add three inches to the chassis. While this number seems (at first) to be less than impressive, Nissan explains that the platform already boasts a 79-inch height. It leads the half-ton pack and, with this upgrade, it will only further assert its dominance on the backroads.

By adding three inches to the suspension, Nissan will improve overall water wading capabilities - allowing the Titan to more efficiently navigate Washingtonâ€™s coastal trails. It will also increase stability, with the kit utilizing both coil-over shock absorbers and new rod-end bearings. These will strengthen the independent suspension and provide a more adaptable ride, reducing the impact of rocks, ruts, and more.

The greatest value of this Titan upgrade, however, lies in its convenience. CNET explains that the bolt-on design will spare drivers a frustrating body modification, instead requiring only a few hours at a trusted dealership to complete. Installation will prove easy.
