Latest Nissan News For Seattle, Tacoma, And Bellevue Washington
2019 nissan altima for sale in seattle kirkland washingtonGreat news, Nissan Altima fans! The all-new, sixth-generation sedan was recently named a Motor Trend Car of the Year Contender – an annual honor given by the magazine to recognize the best new or significantly refreshed cars in a model year.

Redesigned for 2019, the next-gen Altima sets a new standard for Nissan sedans by offering ProPILOT Assist technology, two new engines and the first available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive on the automaker’s car line-up in the United States. These additions are key to the Altima’s recognition by Motor Trend.

ProPILOT Assist is being offered as standard equipment on the 2019 Altima’s SV, SL and Platinum grades. It acts as a single-lane "hands-on" driving assistance technology that eases a motorist’s workload by reducing the amount of acceleration, steering and braking input under certain driving conditions. It is complemented by Rear Automatic Braking, which detects stationary objects when in reverse and applies the brakes (if necessary) to avoid a collision.

Under the hood, the 2019 Altima comes with the choice of a 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve four-cylinder engine (with 248 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque) or a 2.5-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine (rated at 188 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque). The latter powerplant is equipped with the new Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system, offering year-round handling confidence, no matter what Mother Nature throws our way.

2019 nissan altima for sale in seattle washingtonIt’s a great milestone for Nissan fans across North America, but especially those working the lines at the Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant in Mississippi. After months of preparation, the official production of the all-new 2019 Altima has finally commenced. This moment not only celebrates the arrival of the sixth-generation sedan, but also the culmination of 15 years of manufacturing at the plant, which has produced four million Nissan vehicles to date.

New 2019 Altima sedans will be hitting our inventory this fall and we can’t wait to show off this mighty machine, especially its Intelligent All-Wheel drivetrain, which is the first for any Nissan sedan (let alone the Altima’s direct competitors).

The Altima is available in five well-equipped trims (S, SR, SV, SL and Platinum) with a standard 2.5-liter DOHC inline four-cylinder direct injection engine, which is rated at 188 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. With the option of all-wheel drive, sedan shoppers can finally benefit from the enhanced capability and handling that this new offering provides. For those customers wanting additional power, Nissan is also equipping the Altima SR and Platinum grades with an optional 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine with front-wheel drive.

Pricing for the 2019 Altima S starts at an affordable $23,750 MSRP with front-wheel drive or $25,100 MSRP with all-wheel drive. To learn more about this highly anticipated platform, call our team at Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington, to chat specs or to pre-book a test drive.
2019 nissan altima for sale in kirkland tacoma seattle washingtonIn June 1992, the first Nissan Altima rolled off the production lines at their automaker’s Smyrna, Tennessee Assembly Plant. Since then, that number has ballooned to 4.6 million midsize sedans.

And, now with the release of the all-new 2019 Altima, that figure is about to sky-rocket again, as Nissan recently announced that they invested $170 million dollars for new upgrades for the Smyrna Plant. According to their press release, some funds were also allocated to its vehicle assembly facility in Canton, Mississippi, which will assist with the manufacturing of the Altima as well.

With the funding, a state-of-the-art laser brazing system was added to the body shop that gives the flexibility to weld the Altima’s sleek trunk lid. The paint shop was also updated with a new polyurethane stone guard coat paint system, which provides a more durable, best-in-class exterior appearance. Since the 2019 Altima will feature standard ProPilot Assist, Nissan added calibration equipment to the plant to ensure the reliability and functionality of the semi-autonomous technology.

The all-new Altima isn’t due to hit our dealership’s inventory until this fall, but it is exciting to hear how much innovative engineering is being put into the sedan.

The 2019 Nissan Altima promises to deliver some much-needed excitement to the mid-size sedan segment with its expressive styling, uplifting interior and two new powerplants, but it’s also one of the automaker’s latest vehicles to offer advanced Nissan Intelligent Mobility features.

This includes the addition of ProPilot Assist, which will be standard on the 2019 Altima SV, SL and Platinum trims.

ProPilot Assist is currently available on the Nissan Leaf and Rogue and has won motorists over with its hands-on driver-assist capabilities that help keep vehicles centered in their lane, while also navigating stop-and-go traffic and maintaining a set speed and distance to cars up ahead. It’s the foundation for autonomous vehicles of the future and one that we are excited to have on the upcoming 2019 Altima, which is expected to hit the U.S. market later this fall.
