I live in Ontario and wanted to purchase a Ford transit. There were many challenges in figuring out how we would get the vehicle to the East coast. Jag helped me patiently throughout the whole process. Any time I needed something I was able to text him and he responded as soon as he was able. It was a pleasure dealing with Jag and Key West Ford! Thank you all!

These guys don’t communicate with each other.

These guys don’t communicate with each other. We wasted hours at the dealership test driving and getting a contract worked out and at the last minute we were told, “ oh this truck was sold 2 days ago”. We had taken a ferry into the city specifically to purchase this truck. How hard is it for the sales guys to put a sold sign on a vehicle? You would think they would have a bulletin board with inventory sales listed. Unacceptable!

We had an exceptional experience at Key West Ford. Their entire team was kind, helpful and responsive when dealing with us (and our kiddies). Ian Riddell, Sales manager helped us find a Sales Representative who was extremely knowledgeable in the vehicle we were pursuing. Jag Dhillon helped us navigate through all the questions we had, was patient and helpful. Our kids were entertained (with popcorn), we were give all the information needed. Michelle Kellough, was extremely helpful navigating through our warranty options, we were presently surprised with what she found for us. Thank you, this was a big purchase and a big day for us and we really appreciated all you did for us.

2019 nissan leaf for sale in seattle tacoma kirkland newcastle renton waNorth of the border, the Nissan Leaf was recognized for yet another award honoring the world’s best-selling electric vehicle. The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada presented the EV with a 2019 Canadian Green Car of the Year Award at the Vancouver International Auto Show, beating out other popular contenders, including the Honda Clarity and Insight.

Redesigned two years ago, the current generation Leaf offers a
150 mile range from a 40-kWh battery. However, back in January, exciting news was released about the forthcoming Nissan Leaf PLUS, which will be available this year with an upgraded 62-kWh battery pack, delivering an increased range of 226 miles. Even with the PLUS version coming soon, the 150-mile range Leaf was enough to win over the 65 Automobile Journalists Association of Canada judges to determine the Green Car Award winner.

Before long, the Leaf will be running out of space in its trophy case, as the accolades continue to roll in. Most recently, the EV surpassed its 400,000 units sold mark, proving that North America and the world can’t get enough of this zero-emission vehicle.

As the maker of the best-selling all-electric vehicle, Nissan had a perplexing problem to solve – what to do with aging, old Leaf battery cells? Over the years, the company has used second-life batteries to generate street lights in Namie, Japan, or in an energy storage system to power the Johan Cruijff Arena stadium in Amsterdam, Netherlands. And, now, Nissan has unveiled yet another use for second-life Leaf fuel cells with a pop-up camper concept in partnership with off-road camping manufacturer Opus.

Designed for off-grid adventuring, the Leaf-powered pack stores 700wH and offers a maximum output of 1kW — plenty of juice to keep electronics, small appliances and even a mini-fridge charged up. A 400W solar panel can refresh the battery in two to four hours, but it can also be removed and plugged directly into any 230V outlet. According to Nissan, the second-life power pack can deliver up to a week’s worth of energy, allowing campers to remain connected and enjoy the comforts of home, while having the freedom to travel to remote areas.

There’s no word yet if Nissan and Opus’ collaboration will ever make it to the marketplace, but one can hope! To learn more about Leaf second-life batteries and how they are powering daily life, contact our team at Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington, to discuss.
The Leaf e+ was the star of the show at CES 2019, but Nissan also debuted another vehicle – the all-new Leaf NISMO RC. This all-electric race car packs double the power and torque output of its predecessor and boasts dual electric motors, advanced battery technology, and all-wheel-drive capability in a sporty and attractive body.

According to Nissan, the Leaf NISMO RC’s two electric motors are placed at the opposite ends of the chassis and manage power independently to each axle for a total of 240 kW and 640 Nm of torque. This racer also boasts a low weight of only 2,690 lbs and a carbon fiber monocoque chassis that helps the EV reach 62 mph in a mere 3.4 seconds – a 50 percent improvement over the previous generation of the Leaf NISMO RC. Now that’s fast for a plug-in!

As for its looks, the car is marked with Nissan’s signature V-motion grille and a long hood, as well as an eye-catching silver-and-black paint scheme with NISMO red accents. Whether cornering at high speeds or waiting at the start line for the flag to drop, the Nissan Leaf NISMO RC always appears as if it’s in constant motion.

Wish you could experience the Leaf NISMO? Unfortunately, this platform isn’t available for purchase. However, at Kirkland Nissan, our lot is stocked with new Leaf EV models, awaiting your test drive. Call us today to book an appointment.
2019 nissan leaf for sale near seattle kirkland tacoma renton washingtonAccording to a recent press release from Nissan Motor Corporation, Norway is surpassing all other nations in terms of its electric vehicle share. More than 12,000 Leaf all-electric vehicles were driven in the country last year and Norway’s strong focus on sustainability and aggressive EV incentives are largely to thank for the plug-in’s sales success.

Outside of Norway, the same triumph is being felt across the UK, making the Nissan Leaf the best-selling electric vehicle with more than 40,000 units sold across the continent. More than 380,000 Nissan Leaf vehicles also have been sold globally since the model went on sale in 2010, with over 128,000 sold in the U.S.

Here in Seattle, the exact sentiment rings true for the Leaf – drivers of all kinds love this platform for its range, affordability and high-tech inclusions. On our lot at Kirkland Nissan, we are selling many 2019 models to our customers, plus we have many buyers that are anxiously awaiting the 2019 Leaf e+. Slated to arrive later this spring, the e+ will feature a 62 kWh battery pack and a higher output powertrain for 226 miles of range, which is a nice uptick from the current 2019 Leaf’s 150-mile range.

With CES 2019 kicking off on January 8, 2019, in Las Vegas, automotive watchers are starting to chatter about what consumer technologies and innovations will be unveiled at the show. Nissan is playing into the buzz with their latest “See the Invisible” campaign. According to a press release, the automaker is planning a display that demonstrates the future of driving and the electrifying potential of Nissan Intelligent Mobility, which is the company's vision for moving people to a better world.

CES will also see the US debut of Nissan's Leaf Nismo RC race car concept. Based on the second-generation of the EV, the Nismo RC has an electric motor on each axle, providing a powerful 322 horsepower and 472 lb-ft of torque. Due to its lighter chassis made from carbon fiber, the Leaf can hit speeds of 62 mph in only 3.4 seconds. Incredible!

Industry insiders are also speculating that Nissan will debut a new vehicle introduction at CES 2019, which some are saying will be the longer-range variant of the Nissan Leaf. The automaker hasn’t confirmed this report, but it is believed that the EV will be powered by a bigger, more powerful 60-kWh battery, which will extend the Leaf’s range from 150 miles to somewhere in the 200-mile range.
