Latest Nissan News For Seattle, Tacoma, And Bellevue Washington
nissan frontier dealership seattle tacoma newcastle kent washingtonAccording to an online article by Automotive News, a next-generation Nissan Frontier will debut in the fall of 2020 as a 2021 model, boasting a redesign that hasn’t seen a major update since it was introduced in 2004 as a 2005 model.

Based on their sources, the new Frontier will sport “futuristic” styling that will “still look like a truck.” It will continue to ride on its F-Alpha truck platform due to cost and size issues and not adopt the global Navara platform, which is sold overseas and is not well-suited to the needs of North American drivers. Under the hood, the optional 261-horsepower
4.0-liter V6 engine will be replaced by a new 3.0-liter engine rated at approximately 300 horsepower, thus placing the Frontier near the top of its class. The automatic transmission will also be refreshed with the addition of two extra gears for a total of seven.

The Frontier is popular with midsize truck enthusiasts due to its long-standing heritage and competitive pricing. It’s the only pickup that sells, on average, for less than $30,000 in a segment where the average transaction price last year was $32,800, according to J.D. Power.

As more details are released about the forthcoming Frontier, we’ll be sure to share the news right here on our blog. In the meantime, if you have questions, feel free to contact us at Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington, to discuss the Frontier’s specs, trim levels and pricing.
