For the third consecutive year, the Nissan Frontier has driven off with a 2018 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study Award within the Midsize Pickup segment. It is joined by the Maxima in the Large Car honors and the Altima in the Midsize Car segment, earning Nissan three impressive wins in the survey (as well as a tie for the most awards won).

The J.D. Power IQS study examinesÂ experiencedÂ problemsÂ by owners per every 100 vehiclesÂ during the first 90 days of ownership. A lower score is reflective of advanced quality.Â

The highest ranked Nissan Frontier proudly beat out its competitors, the GMC Canyon and Honda Ridgeline, who tied for second place. This year, Nissan also improved by eight problems per 100 vehicles to an overall average of just 85 problems per 100 vehicles, which was the best performance of all non-luxury Japanese brands.
