If the Altima veers past the markers, it automatically deploys both its adaptive cruise control and all-wheel ABS systems, taking control of the steering wheel and re-adjusting the vehicle position.

Nissan believes it’s time for a change - which is why it’s fusing the 2019 Altima with all-wheel performance.


According to the NY Daily News, the 2019 Altima will redefine the mid-size market - bringing optional Intelligent AWD to Seattle. This system will ensure ferocious handling on the highway and the backroads alike. Advanced sensors will anchor the axles, monitoring torque pressure with every rev. When high speeds are detected, these features will automatically transfer power to the rear wheels (creating a 50:50 performance split that will enhance traction and reduce the chance of under-steerage). Searching for a mid-size upgrade? Nissan will soon unveil its 2019 Altima - promising two powerful engine options for the Seattle market. No longer will commutes be burdened by weak speeds and low torque. Instead this sedan will deliver class-leading performance, injecting highway-thrills into every day.


According to Top Speed, the 2019 Altima will offer two new engines - a 2.5L inline-four and a 3.5L V6. Each will provide segment-shattering power, with Nissan enhancing every rev:

2.5L Inline-Four
Estimated Performance Ratios: 200 HP and 198 lb.-ft of torque.

3.5L V6
Estimated Performance Ratios: 290 HP and 275 lb.-ft of torque.

Nissan seeks to enhance the mid-size market, fusing its Altima with a suite of engine upgrades. As CNET explains, Nissan has just revealed the first images of its 2019 Altima. This sedan (which is currently scheduled for a late summer release) has been beautifully rendered, with its silver body poised to debut at the New York Auto Show on March 28th. That proves too great a wait for critics, however, and they’ve already begun studying every detail of these concept sketches - debating potential specs and likely additions. Among the conclusions they’ve drawn are:

A New Grille - Nissan should fuse the 2019 Altima with a V-Motion design, blending chrome-cladding with custom badges. The aerodynamic arched shape will anchor the platform, helping to reduce friction.

Lighting - Daytime running lights should be integrated into the Altima’s fascia, stretching from lower grille to the hood-line; while boomerang-style headlamps will deliver a fresh look.

Profile - A rear kick-up will transform the body, lending the Altima a speedster style (the windows will be narrowed to showcase the revised frame, which is anticipated to deliver up to two inches of extra length).

A picture is worth a thousand words. As spy-photos of the 2019 Altima flood the online world, however, we think a cheer may be more appropriate. Quick-fingered critics have managed to sneak a peek at Nissan’s premier sedan - and soon Seattle will be celebrating.

Are you ready for the next-generation of mid-size style?


According to Auto Week, spy-photos of the 2019 Altima have surfaced. While none - tragically - reveal the platform’s exterior, they do offer a glimpse into the spacious cabin; and critics are already rhapsodizing about the features they’ve seen:

Quality Materials: a leather-trimmed steering wheel and custom red stitching will elevate the Altima’s cabin, delivering a sporty appearance to every mile. Alcantara seating (though not visible) is expected.

Entertainment Console: a massive new center stack can be seen in the pictures, with Nissan creating a floating super-sized infotainment screen. No official dimensions have been offered, but many anticipate an 8-inch LCD display with capacitive capabilities.

Climate Control: both the placement and exaggerated sizing of the air conditioning dials suggests a revised system. Expect dual-zone technology, along with a potential new cabin filter.

A new breed of mid-size beast is coming to Seattle - with Nissan soon to reveal its 2019 Altima. This sedan will prove unstoppable on both the freeway and the charts, delivering class-leading performance with every rev.

The pony-cars and crossover behemoths are already trembling!


According to CNET, the 2019 Altima will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show (March 30th through April 8th). While Nissan has failed to provide a comprehensive list of specs before this event, rumors have already left critics tantalized - promising exceptional sedan power. Among the expected features are:

Engines

The 2019 Altima is rumored to boast both a 1.6L four-cylinder and a 3.5L V6. No performance ratios have been released, but early estimates gauge the HP to hover at a maximum of 270.

Technology

Nissan should fuse this sedan with its ProPilot suite - providing Seattle drivers with automated assistance and advanced support. This safety feature (which utilizes radar sensors to assess the road, instantly identifying obstacles and engaging either the steering or brakes to maintain proper lane alignment) will greatly reduce the risk of forward collisions.
