Latest Nissan News For Seattle, Tacoma, And Bellevue Washington
Yes, you read that right – Nissan just broke another Guinness World Records title for the largest synchronized car dance. We bet you didn’t even know that such an event existed – well, it does!

According to The Drive, Nissan’s Middle Eastern division used 180 Patrol SUVs in two concentric lines to create a giant dancing falcon – the national symbol of the UAE – measuring 225 metres in length and 176.5 metres in width. The formation, which covered a total distance of 1,476 metres, was held at Dubai’s Rugby 7s stadium and led by Zimbabwean driver Axyl Jeffries.

See it in action here:

Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time that the Nissan Patrol has broken a world record – rather, it’s the vehicle’s third time since its sixth generation was released just eight years ago. In September 2015, the car broke the record for the fastest ascent of a 100-meter sand dune by a car, scaling the hill in only 4.9 seconds. And two years earlier, in August 2013, the Patrol successfully towed the world’s heaviest aircraft for more than 164 feet at the Sharjah International Airport in the UAE.

Incredible, right? Perhaps this might inspire you to complete a similar attempt in the Armada, which is the North American equivalent of the Patrol. To learn more, contact our team at Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington.
2018 nissan armada for sale in seattle washingtonLast week, the 2018 Rebelle Rally kicked off in Lake Tahoe, California, as teams began the 10-day women's-only trek across California and Nevada to reach the finish line in San Diego. Over the course of the competition, drivers will traverse 1,500 miles of rough, punishing terrain in the off-road navigation rally race.

Team Wild Grace, led by Sedona Blinson and Leah Heffelfinger, are seeking victory behind the wheel of a 2018 Nissan Armada Platinum. The two met at the Overland Expo West five years ago and ran the 2017 Rebelle Rally with a Nissan Frontier PRO-X. While both agreed that the Frontier’s smaller size was perfect for the diverse terrain in last year’s race, they are particularly eager to pilot the Armada, which prioritizes both comfort and capability. The SUV also traces its roots back to the Nissan Patrol and is known as the “King of the Desert”, which is ideal given the terrain of this rally.

Blinson and Heffelfinger’s 2018 Armada Platinum is fully stock except for the Nitto Ridge Grappler tires that it is riding on, which are designed for gripping sand and hauling through the desert. The vehicle is also wrapped in a custom-designed skin by IF Signs. Over the course of the rally, the two will spend up to 13 hours in the Armada, relying on rudimentary maps, compasses and digital cameras to find their way across some of North America’s most challenging and scenic territory.

Will they be victorious? Team Wild Grace is certainly equipped with the best vehicle for the job! To learn more about the Armada’s off-road potency, contact our team at Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington, to go for a test drive.
2019 nissan armada for sale in seattle kirkland tacoma washingtonSeattle families have always adored the Armada – not only for its powerful engine performance and comfortable cabin, but its protective equipment too. And now, for 2019, Nissan has given us even more reasons to love the Armada with the inclusion of additional standard safety features across all trims.

For 2019, the Armada now boasts Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking and Nissan’s revolutionary Rear Door Alert, which is a safety feature that ensures that parents don’t forget to unload children or pets from the back seat. Previously, Adaptive Cruise Control and Automatic Emergency Braking were only optional on the SL trim and standard on the Platinum and Platinum Reserve grades. Having these features as standard equipment across the board now provides consumers with greater value and peace of mind.

Best of all, these inclusions don’t come at a premium. Instead, the 2019 Nissan Armada is priced only slightly higher than the 2018 model with trim levels seeing small increases between $500 to $840.

Here is an overview of the 2019 MSRPs for rear-wheel variants by grade:

SV: $48,185
SL: $52,985
Platinum: $61,085
Platinum Reserve: $64,085

Four-wheel drive models will add $3,000 to the purchase price. Destination and handling charges are $1,395.

The all-new Armada is expected to hit our dealership’s inventory soon. In the meantime, feel free to contact our team at Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, Washington, to pre-book your test drive or to inquire about specs and options.

If you need a full-size SUV to help you handle the rigors of parenthood, consider the 2018 Nissan Armada as your next family vehicle. This model has grown in popularity over the last year, seeing a 25 percent spike in sales in 2018.

Parents love the Armada for its versatile interior and powerful performance. Under the hood rests a 5.6-liter V8 engine, which produces 390 horses and 394 lb-ft of torque. Whether hauling your daughter’s hockey team to the rink or road tripping to visit grandma, you’ll have no trouble accommodating up to eight passengers and a total of 154 cubic feet of cargo. If you need to tow a trailer to your Scouts’ annual fall camping trip, the Armada can pull upwards of 8,500 lbs, when properly equipped.

The Armada also comes equipped with many family-friendly standard features, such as NissanConnect Services powered by SiriusXM, an 8-inch multi-touch control display, HD Radio, Hands-Free Text Messaging Assistant, and additional USB ports across all grade levels. What’s more, the 2018 Amada also boasts an Intelligent Rear View Mirror, which uses a high-resolution camera mounted on the back of the vehicle to project a clear image onto an LCD monitor built into the standard rearview mirror. Obstacles won’t risk your safety in this SUV.
