The new Jeep Wrangler boasts two main cameras meant to increase safety. One is in the front and the other in the rear - affording wide-angle perspectives and increasing visibility on the Calgary trails.
The Wrangler's forward-facing unit, also known as the TrailCam, shows what is directly ahead of the vehicle. The image is displayed on the Uconnect touchscreen and features dynamic tire-path lines superimposed on top of the video feed. This view is for off-road conditions and allows the driver to see obstacles - such as boulders - in real time. The tool is available on models with 8.4-inch touchscreens and will prove crucial when traversing rough roads.
The rear camera, known as the ParkView function, offers a wide-angle picture of the area behind the new Wrangler. The image is displayed on the Uconnect touchscreen, with dynamic gridlines to help guide the vehicle as the driver attempts to back into a parking space. It affords seamless navigation in tight corners.
To see these unique tools in action yourself, contact our Calgary dealership to schedule a test drive in the new 2021 Jeep Wrangler. We will gladly provide a demonstration of the TrailCam and ParkView systems, as well as highlight additional safety features.
