When you’re driving a full squad it can be hard to get the temperatures right. Those in the cockpit are too cold because the A/C is over-pumped in hopes it reaches the back. Meanwhile, rear riders are resisting the urge to open the window because, even though they know it will let the cool air out, they’re not feeling it anyway. Sound familiar?
Say “goodbye†to vehicle-related Goldilocks syndrome and “hello†to the 2019 INFINITI QX50. With Tri-Zone Climate Control, this advanced CUV makes the well-being of its passengers a priority.
Designed to benefit all occupants — not just the one who called “shotgun†— this proprietary crossover offers a more all-encompassing approach to comfort. While dual CC automatically maintains the cabin environment for the driver and front traveler, TZACC extends the pleasantries to the stern. Functioning independently from the primary controls, those on the second bench are free to create and adjust their own ideal conditions. With detached vents (located on the reverse side of the center console) the airflow — be it hot or cold — is operated entirely autonomously from the forward units.

Sometimes it’s the smallest details that make the most significant difference. We know it’s easy to get caught up in some of the more headline-worthy aspects of the 2019 INFINITI QX50 — like, say, for example, the proprietary VC-Turbo engine it’s packing. However, don’t automatically gloss over the words “rear sliding bench†on a spec sheet. While it may not seem like a such a great deal, the motion capability of the seating venue not only improves passenger comfort but also allows for increased cargo space.
The QX50 is one of only a few vehicles in its segment category to offer such a feature. Impressively, occupants can enjoy up to 38.7 inches of legroom. That’s sufficient enough for most all riders to be able to cross their legs with ease.
Furthermore, the moving second row also positively impacts the trunk area. In its most extreme position, owners are granted 31.1 cu-ft for stowing their belongings, groceries, or other items. However, the expanse can easily be extended by manipulating the bank to allow for up to 64.4 cu-ft.. Needless to say, with those kinds of numbers it can accommodate up to three golf bags or a whole lot of shopping totes.

Have you been looking at the 2019 INFINITI QX50? If so, you might have noticed its extensive features list. It’s our goal to make each and every amenity that comes with this crossover comprehensible to buyers.
Take, for instance, the vehicle’s power liftgate. This is a term that gets tossed around with automobiles from time to time, but are you familiar with exactly what it means, or how this technology works?
Relying on hydraulics, a liftgate system makes it a snap to open and close the trunk or hatch of your vehicle. You can operate this technology with a button inside the car or with a simple touch of a foot outside. This makes it extremely easy to load groceries or take heavy equipment out of the QX50. It’s a hands-free option that you’re sure to love. Once the sensor is activated, the door will open. How simple is that?
This INFINITI is filled with other amazing features, too. Delay-off headlights light your path when you’re coming home late at night. An emergency communication system protects you in case you ever are stranded without a phone during a scary situation.

If you’ve been shopping for a new car and aren’t quite sure what to make of all the complicated feature descriptions, you’ve come to the right place. Here, we’ve made it our mission to clarify the murky world of auto terminology to better prepare you for owning the INFINITI of your dreams.
Take the 2018 QX60, which contains a high-tech radio data system. The average car doesn’t necessarily include this feature, so most people probably aren’t familiar with what it means. Believe it or not, it’s actually a pretty important aspect of the vehicle’s entertainment capabilities.
The radio data system is a communications method for embedding digital information in conventional FM radio broadcasts. Also called RDS, it works to standardize things like time, station identification, and program information. Originally, this was an invention used by the European Broadcasting Union. In recent years, it has been taken up by the International Electrotechnical Commission. This system in your car is able to carry data at 1,187.5 bits per second. Pretty interesting, right?
Thanks to RDS, you’ll be able to get information like the title and artist of a song that’s playing, provided a station is releasing it when they broadcast. If you love music, you know how awesome it can be to catch the name of a new tune you can’t get out of your head.
The 2018 QX60 is more than just RDS, so stop by our INFINITI of Tacoma dealership the next time you’re in the Newcastle, Washington, area and take a test drive!

If you’ve been shopping for INFINITI vehicles, you might have noticed that there are a number of available upgrade packages. It can be difficult to understand exactly what these all include, however, without a bit of explanation.
The 2018 INFINITI Q50 includes the All Weather Package. This amazing addition keeps you prepared for whatever the Seattle, Washington, climate might throw your way. Upgraded floor mats help you maintain a neat and clean interior. A water-resistant trunk trim also keeps your valuables safe from leaks.
This INFINITI is filled with a number of other wonderful features to protect you from the elements. Take automatic temperature control, for instance. You can program your preferences for the vehicle’s interior and never have to worry about fiddling with the adjustment knob while on the road again.
Other amenities include front dual-zone air conditioning and heated steering wheel and seats for maximum comfort. Rain-sensing and speed-sensitive wipers keep you safe in ever-changing storms, and an outside temperature display lets you know whether to grab your coat or leave it behind.

If you’re a parent, chances are you’ve received “the call†a time or two in your child-rearing days. You know the one. It’s your youngster on the other end of the line, and they’ve forgotten their lunch, their gym bag, or their homework (sometimes all three) in the back of the car. So, like the doting adult you are, you willingly adjust your day to deliver whatever it is your kid has left behind.
And, while we know you would do anything for your offspring, wouldn’t it be nice to minimize the back and forths? With the 2019 INFINITI QX60, you can do just that. Featuring a proprietary Rear Door Alert System that comes standard in all models, this unique function was designed specifically for active families.
The RDA works by monitoring the back door switches. If it detects that the entry/exit sensors were triggered before a trip and then not re-opened after arrival, it will respond with a series of notifications. Alerts begin only when the vehicle is put into park, and the ignition is off. First, the operator will receive a visual reminder in the instrument panel. Then, if no action is taken, as you exit and walk away from the QX60, a progression of subtle but distinctive chirps of the horn will sound.

The chances are that, when you slip behind the wheel of your new 2019 INFINITI QX50, you’re not thinking about the mechanics that make your ride run. We understand. It’s easy to get distracted by the sophisticated interior or the proprietary VC-Turbo engine that’s propelling you. However, humbly operating behind-the-scenes of this intelligent crossover is an advanced Direct Adaptive Steering system that delivers smooth cruising.
In its fourth generation, DAS utilizes a drive-by-wire OS that replaces the standard mechanical column with high-speed motors and sensors. Placing the commuter in total command of the QX50, the digitally enhanced function allows for improved responsiveness.
Specially tuned to provide even more customization options to owners, it delivers multiple mode options to choose from. Whether you need to optimize for a stop-and-go urban setting or for fluid highway travel, the intuitive technology processes inputs and road conditions. From there, it can adapt the wheels to minimize the effort required.
The result is a highly intuitive carrier capable of tracking straight and true at a steady pace, while also being able to shift into more sporty situations where maneuverability is required. The best part about it? All of this takes place automatically so that you can sit back and enjoy the ride.

Popular Mechanics just published a piece on the INFINITI variable compression engine and what it means for your vehicle. You’ll find it in the 2019 QX50, which is well worth a look regardless, but the VC feature really puts the crossover on another level.
The scientific publication explains the technology well, saying that it is capable of changing its compression ratio from 8:1 to as much as 14:1. The higher the proportion, the more tightly you’re squeezing the air-fuel mixture in the engine. This means more power and gas efficiency.
Wouldn’t a high ratio be better all the time, then, you might wonder? Actually, no, because forced-induction engines (like anything that’s turbocharged) collect air and put it into the engine for better performance. Tight compacting can then cause unpredictable behavior or knocking.
The INFINITI variable compression turbo engine is a 2.0-liter inline-four, and it can operate at a very high ratio without knocking. This is just one of the many amazing aspects of the 2019 QX50! You’ll also appreciate occupant-sensing airbags, heated seats with memory, and a universal transceiver.
The next time you’re in the greater Seattle, Washington, area, stop by INFINITI of Tacoma. We can’t wait to schedule your test drive!

Have you ever found yourself in a perilous situation, far from home and without your cell phone? Whether your vehicle had broken down or someone in the car needed medical attention, it can be a terrifying experience. Especially in bad weather or after dark, having to walk miles to find help can be more than inconvenient--it may be downright dangerous.
Fortunately, the 2019 INFINITI QX50 has you covered with its emergency communication system. You should still try to keep your phone charged and handy, but your crossover has your back, should the worst occur.
How does the emergency communication system work, you might wonder? There’s actually an SOS button right on the dash. If you ever find yourself in a dangerous situation, simply press it, and you’ll be connected to an INFINITI representative. They can help you to contact the proper authorities. In addition, the response specialist will provide roadside assistance if you need it.
This all sounds quite reassuring, but the 2019 QX50 actually offers even more amazing safety features. A low tire pressure alert lets you know before you have a flat, which is quite handy. In addition, a blind spot warning takes some of the guesswork out of your commute.
