Have you been considering a new vehicle? The 2019 Nissan Versa is loaded with features and has the ability to keep you comfortable, safe, and entertained no matter where you go. It has so many amenities, in fact, that you might find shopping for one a bit overwhelming. We’re here to help explain some of the high-tech aspects of the vehicle so that you can maximize your purchasing decision.
This automobile includes a feature called an anti-roll bar. It is located in both the front and rear of the vehicle, and it goes a long way towards your safety during your commute or when you run errands. Not familiar with this aspect of the car? Here’s why it’s there and what it does.
This piece of the Versa, also called by a variety of other names (like the roll bar, anti-sway bar, sway bar, or stabilizer bar) helps to reduce the body movements of a car during fast cornering or over road irregularities. The part connects the left and right wheels together through short lever arms linked by a torsion spring.
The purpose of the anti-roll bar is to force the car to raise and lower each side of the vehicle to similar heights. This helps prevent it from tipping over as you drive across uneven terrain.
