Latest Nissan News For Seattle, Tacoma, And Bellevue Washington
2019 nissan 370z for sale in seattle washingtonJust shy of its 50th anniversary of the original 1969 Datsun 240Z, Nissan is displaying some of its iconic vehicles at the 31st annual International Z Car Convention, which kicked off yesterday in Atlanta, Georgia.

The automaker has four vintage cars that they are excited to share with other Z Car buffs, including a 1960 Datsun 1200 Sedan, a 1960 Datsun Fairlady Roadster, a 1965 Datsun 320 Truck and the No. 83 Nissan GTP-ZX Turbo, which was the 1988-89 IMSA Championship race car.

Motorsports legends Peter Brock and John Morton will also make appearances at the five-day festival, along with Yoshihiko Matsuo, who designed the original 240Z. Over 1,200 Datsun and Nissan enthusiasts are expected to descend upon the streets of Atlanta and nearby racetracks to take in the convention, which is known as ZCON.

If you have a love for all things Z Car, but can’t make it to Georgia for the show, consider stopping into our dealership in Seattle, Washington, to view our extensive inventory of new 370Z cars, including the highly anticipated 2019 model. nissan z cars for sale in seattle washingtonAccording to Wheels, the next Z-car is in development. The online publication spoke with Nissan's Senior Vice President of Global Design, Alfonso Albaisa, who claims that planning for the next-gen Z is already underway.

“The Z-car, oh my god. Huge pressure,” said Albaisa in the interview when reviewing the to-do list of Nissan design work. “You can imagine I’m completely excited that I am in the position to work on that.” And there truly isn’t a better person for the job. Albaisa has developed a series of Nissan and INFINITI show cars over his 31 years with the automaker.

The Drive has also reported that the next Z-car will follow in the footsteps of the Toyota-BMW partnership, which resulted in the rebirth of the Toyota Supra and a new-gen BMW Z4 – both of which share the same platform and drivetrain. As with the platforms that underpin the current Infiniti QX50 and QX30, the next Z-car may share a platform co-developed with Daimler.

Little more is known right now, but The Drive is speculating that Nissan will reveal the new Z-car at the Tokyo Motor Show in October with a production-ready variant hitting the stage at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show. If all goes well, a new Z-car could be available in dealership showrooms by 2020.

As soon as more details are revealed, we’ll be sure to share them on our Kirkland Nissan news blog.
Until then, stay tuned or contact our dealership for additional information.
Seattle Z enthusiasts, listen up! Word on the street is that a replacement for the 370Z could debut in the next two years. This news comes from leaked info from Nissan senior officials, which was published in the U.K.'s Autocar magazine.

Dubbed the 400Z, the coupe is expected to be unveiled in 2019 - the same year as the original Z's 50th anniversary. The new car is not expected to hit dealerships until 2020.

While Alfonso Albaisa, Nissan Design Chief, and Phillipe Klein, Chief Planning Officer, have advocated for a Z-car successor, the rumors from speculators confirm that the new Z has been locked-in for production and that it will be a twin of Infiniti's Q60. The car will reportedly share the same engine and platform, boasting the Q60's 399-horsepower 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6, as well as a longer wheelbase. A Nismo tuned version might also be available, offering all-wheel drive and 475 horsepower.

Sounds exciting, right? Our team at Kirkland Nissan will keep our ears to the ground for more news about an upcoming 400Z. In the meantime, you can browse our online inventory to check out our in-stock 2018 370Z coupes by clicking here. To schedule a test drive, contact us today.
