As the most customizable vehicle on the market today, the 2021 Jeep Wrangler can be stripped down to its bare bones for your extreme off-roading pleasure. You can remove the windshield, doors, and roof in just a few easy steps. In this article, we will cover how to eliminate the front glass only.
Â
The first is to get your tools ready. Inside the Torx Tool Kit, you will find a fold-out instruction car, a ratchet with 40 and 50 attachments, and a socket. You will be removing a total of 26 nuts and bolts if you take off all of the removable parts. There is a plastic tray located underneath the cargo floor to store these pieces.
Â
To lay down the front windshield, you need to remove the wipers. All you have to do is pop off the caps covering the retaining nuts. Next, use the ratchet and socket to unscrew the nuts. Then, you can pull each one off with little effort. They can then be used to clear the deck in preparation for the glass.
Â
Next, find the Torx 40 bolts located at each upper corner of the windshield header. (Hint: They are behind the sun visors.) Remove those bolts along with the two additional Torx 40 bolts that straddle the rearview mirror mount.
Â
Finally, lay the front glass piece onto the hood. It will rest on two large rubber nubs to keep it in place.

Jeep fans everywhere know that the Wrangler is highly customisable and can be stripped down to the basics for extreme off-roading. The new 2021 models offer three roof options, and each one can be removed for your trailblazing endeavours.
Â
The first is the Sunrider soft top. This zipperless version provides the traditional Wrangler esthetic that so many people love. It’s always very lightweight and can be rolled up for easy storage.
Â
The second is the Freedom Top hardtop. This roof can be disassembled into three pieces. Using the provided Torx tool kit, you can have all of the panels off within a matter of minutes. While the process is faster with two people, one person can do it by themselves without any problem.
Â
Finally, the last option is the Sky One-Touch Power Top. Only available on select Unlimited (four-door) models, this roof opens up to reveal the beauty of nature with the simple push of a button. This deployment functions at speeds up to 88 km/h (55 mph), which is perfect if a pop-up thunderstorm rains on your parade. You don’t have to pull over to put the top back on. Just push the corresponding button.
