Are you excited about the 2022 Jeep lineup? We are too! That’s why we couldn’t wait to share the engine lineup for the upcoming Jeep Gladiator and Wrangler. You can reserve either vehicle when you call O’Connor Chrysler in BC.
Â
Since these two off-roading champions are siblings, they share the same powertrain offerings. The first is the standard 3.6-litre V6 carefully crafted by Pentastar. Mated with either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission, it produces 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The maximum towing limit is capped at 2,041 kg (4,500 lbs), and you can expect an average combined fuel economy of 12.6 L/100 km (22 mpg).
Â
The other option is the 3.0-litre EcoDiesel V6. Partnered with an 8-speed automatic transmission and ESS technology, it pushes out 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. It can also pull heavier attachments weighing up to 2,948 kg (6,500 lbs). Finally, you can expect to get about 9.8 L/100 km (29 mpg) combined.
Â
As always, a 4x4 drivetrain system is included. This will either be the Command- or Roc-Trac version.
