Believe it or not, exterior lighting can make all the difference in the world when choosing the right truck. For the Ram 1500 lineup, there are two bulb types to look at.
 

The first is the conventional halogen bulb. Producing a traditional yellow beam, these lights cast a warm glow over the road ahead. Also sometimes labelled as incandescent bulbs, they work when an electric charge strikes a tungsten filament. All located inside a heat-resistant envelope (the actual bulb), the surrounding argon and nitrogen gases keep it lit.
 

On the other hand, high trim levels come with LED bulbs. Giving off the eye-catching bluish/white hue, these can pierce through the darkness much further than their halogen counterparts. They are also more energy-efficient and have longer lifespans. You won’t have to change them out as frequently.
