The 2014 Legion Nationals will soon begin. To celebrate this the Sports Committee Chairman of The Royal Canadian Legion, André Paquette, has revealed plans for new gold, silver and bronze medals!

According to Paquette, the new design will commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Normandy Landings, drawing inspiration from “a classic photo of Canadian troops landing on Juno Beach.” All medials will be etched with this image to celebrate the importance of the 1944 operation.

Yo.ca was ecstatic to hear this news and hopes that all Legion National participants will feel the same.
