Island Roamer remains for sale, but with all the strong interest so far indicating she is headed for our charter program, Forbes Cooper, the founder of Cooper Boating, gave the order today to start lining up a spectacular season for this fine vessel. If you are interested in charter ownership with this vessel, our the doctor is in and waiting to see you. There are opportunities for a recently launched Pilothouse 62 and an Express 64 launching this spring as well.
The redevelopment of Powell River's waterfront turns this logical jump off point to the worlds best cruising grounds into a showpiece and this city has been fantastic rolling out a welcome mat for fleet. 
If you're looking for something a bit smaller out of Powell River, please note that Calypso (addition 12) and Mariner's Compass (11) have also given the orders to move to Powell River in the spring of 2012. As that fleet location grows, partly due to a few boats migrating north, for the first time in years we have openings in all three locations including the beautiful Port Sidney location. Over 10 years ago, Dave Bonar was completing his MBA with the Ivey School of Business and he came to Cooper Boating to work on a practical evaluation of an ongoing business - that being our wildly entertaining boating business. His team made some suggestions and we followed a few of those and blindly ignored a few others, but the magnetism of our industry has brought him back to work alongside Cooper strategically helping clients moving from chartering to owning their own boats - either to place in the Cooper program or enjoy privately. Dave brings a passion for boating and a professional approach thanks to diverse business experiences and a lifetime enjoying time growing up (or not) on the water. His time away from our group saw him take on challenges in the medical industry - but the treatment today is to help folks heal through the miracles of the ocean! A few years ago, Hugh contemplated jumping into the charter fleet ownership with the boat now called PRINCESS PATRICIA and timing just didn't work out. When he connected with our crew this fall, Dave Bonar helped Hugh jump into another Westcoast 46 and CHOICES is currently undergoing further customization by the Westcoast Custom Yachts crew. Ironically, Doug and Patricia - who did buy the boat currently known as PRINCESS PATRICIA have enjoyed moving from sail to power and are now working to update and partner on a larger vessel for the fleet. The crew at Yacht Sales West got excited about the success of the our recent additions and have ordered a brand new 3 stateroom Bavaria 36. ACappella launch party today. This boat is a monster with 4 double cabins and a massive cockpit. She is currently at Granville Island and will be en route for charters in Powell River July 3rd 2011. The Bavaria 45 Cruiser is the largest new generation Bavaria available for Bareboat Charters in all over B.C. Lower mainland Canada. The champagne hit the bow today and everyone enjoyed the great food and fun of the ACappella launch event. Fair winds and calm seas ACappella. A Congrats goes out to Sheldon, Grace and Family.
