Auto Advice For Chilliwack Consumers

<a href="https://oconnorchrysler.com/inventory/details/581/new-2021-jeep-wrangler-unlimited+rubicon-1C4JJXFM4MW660808"><img src="https://oconnorchrysler.com/images/upload/July_2021/auto_advice/2021_JeepWrangler_NoFrontGlass.jpg"alt="2021 Jeep Wrangler with no front glass”/></a>As the most customizable vehicle on the market today, the 2021 Jeep Wrangler can be stripped down to its bare bones for your extreme off-roading pleasure. You can remove the windshield, doors, and roof in just a few easy steps. In this article, we will cover how to eliminate the front glass only.

The first is to get your tools ready. Inside the Torx Tool Kit, you will find a fold-out instruction car, a ratchet with 40 and 50 attachments, and a socket. You will be removing a total of 26 nuts and bolts if you take off all of the removable parts. There is a plastic tray located underneath the cargo floor to store these pieces.

To lay down the front windshield, you need to remove the wipers. All you have to do is pop off the caps covering the retaining nuts. Next, use the ratchet and socket to unscrew the nuts. Then, you can pull each one off with little effort. They can then be used to clear the deck in preparation for the glass.

Next, find the Torx 40 bolts located at each upper corner of the windshield header. (Hint: They are behind the sun visors.) Remove those bolts along with the two additional Torx 40 bolts that straddle the rearview mirror mount.

Finally, lay the front glass piece onto the hood. It will rest on two large rubber nubs to keep it in place.

The new 2021 models offer three roof options, and each one can be removed for your trailblazing endeavours.

The first is the Sunrider soft top. This zipperless version provides the traditional Wrangler esthetic that so many people love. It’s always very lightweight and can be rolled up for easy storage.

The second is the Freedom Top hardtop. This roof can be disassembled into three pieces. Using the provided Torx tool kit, you can have all of the panels off within a matter of minutes. While the process is faster with two people, one person can do it by themselves without any problem.

Finally, the last option is the Sky One-Touch Power Top. Only available on select Unlimited (four-door) models, this roof opens up to reveal the beauty of nature with the simple push of a button. This deployment functions at speeds up to 88 km/h (55 mph), which is perfect if a pop-up thunderstorm rains on your parade. You don’t have to pull over to put the top back on. Just push the corresponding button.

Surrey, BC: Explore the Limited Slip Rear Differential on the 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Willys

<a href="https://oconnorchrysler.com/inventory/details/633/new-2021-jeep-wrangler-unlimited+willys-1C4HJXDG2MW754665"><img src="https://oconnorchrysler.com/images/upload/July_2021/auto_advice/2021_JeepWrangler_UnlimitedWillys_SargeGreen.png"alt="2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Willys in Sarge Green”/></a>As the most popular off-roading vehicle on the market, the 2021 Jeep Wrangler has established its dominance on the trails. While each trim level brings something unique to the table, the Unlimited Willys offers extra enhancements to make your experience in the wild even more exhilarating.

The first is the limited-slip rear differential. Created to help the motor send more torque to the wheels, this mechanism is designed for efficiency and performance.

Its main priority is to reduce the amount of wheelspin when the tires start to lose their grip on the path. This typically occurs when you step on the accelerator. It redistributes the power produced by the engine to the tires with the most grip. In other words, it gives you more control over the traction element. This component isn’t only used on trailblazing SUVs. You can also find it in sports cars.

Another part of the Unlimited Willys is the set of Rubicon shock absorbers. Borrowed from another trim, these soak up the impact while traveling over jagged terrain. They tend to make the experience from inside the cabin much more pleasant.

Loaded with state-of-the-art systems, it can help prevent accidents anywhere you go.

The first available driving aid that you can opt for is the Adaptive Cruise Control feature. Sensors are mounted to the front of the vehicle, and they are used to determine the distance between the Wrangler and the other car ahead. You can set your desired speed and how far apart you want to stay while traveling. If the flow of traffic begins to slow down, so will the Wrangler.

The other option is the Forward Collision Warning mechanism. Using a combination of cameras and sensors, it can detect when an upcoming obstacle is a threat. When this happens, it will send visual and audible alerts to signal you to take evasive action. If no input is given by you, then it can bring the Wrangler to a complete stop before impact is made. It does this using the Active Braking element.

Surrey, BC: What’s the Difference Between the 2021 Ram ProMaster Cutaway and the Chassis Cab?

<a href="https://oconnorchrysler.com/inventory?newUsed=New#/?&orderBy=1&t=0&filter=[New%2CRAM%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C]"><img src="https://oconnorchrysler.com/images/upload/July_2021/auto_advice/2021_RamProMaster_Cutaway_SchoolBusYellow.png"alt="2021 Ram ProMaster Cutaway in School Bus Yellow”/></a>If you are searching for heavy-duty vehicles for your commercial endeavours, then you may like either the 2021 Ram ProMaster Cutaway or the Chassis Cab. While the two may look similar to the untrained eye, there are a few differences that may help you make your final decision.

The Cutaway is basically the cab of the Ram ProMaster. It ends directly behind the driver’s seat. A box or cargo area can be added later according to your specific needs, and this allows the occupants to have access to the rear via a partition. Whether you transform this model into a cargo van or a truck is entirely up to you. One limitation to keep in mind is that you can’t add extra seating. This type is for two people only.

On the other hand, the Chassis Cab is the cabin section along with a trailing chassis. Various back-end body styles can be affixed to it such as a crane upfit, a dump truck, or extra chairs. Generally, this model tends to offer longer lengths as well.

Both come with 16-inch steel wheels, all-season tires, and extended side mirrors with manual-folding capabilities.

The first is Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning. This component can detect potential obstacles in the road no matter how fast the vehicle is going. If an object is in the driver’s path, visual and audible notifications will prompt him/her to take evasive action. If no input is given to avoid the impending crash, it will take control of the emergency braking system to bring the ProMaster to a halt before impact is made.

Next is Blind Spot Monitoring. Using sensors to keep track of the whereabouts of other cars, it will let you know when one is in the blind spot. A flashing light will signal the driver that it is not safe to change lanes at that moment.

Finally, Rear Cross-Path Detection is that last add-on. Working in unison with the backup camera, it will sound an alert if something moves behind the ProMaster while it is traveling in reverse. This will help prevent fender benders in crowded or tight parking spaces.

<a href="https://oconnorchrysler.com/inventory?newUsed=New#/?&orderBy=1&t=0&filter=[New%2CRAM%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C%2C]"><img src="https://oconnorchrysler.com/images/upload/July_2021/auto_advice/2021_RamProMaster_CrosswindAssist.png"alt="2021 Ram ProMaster with Crosswind Assist”/></a>With over 40 standard and available safety systems on the new 2021 Ram ProMaster, this cargo van offers some of the best driving aids on the market.

Starting with Crosswind Assist, your employees can conquer the harsh weather without fear. This particular feature comes with every ProMaster model, and it uses sensors to detect wind gusts. In response, the brakes are applied to both wheels on the side that is facing the strong airflow. This results in less deviation from the course and reduces stress on the pilot.

Next is the optional Digital Rearview Mirror. It works in conjunction with the ParkView backup camera and Park-Sense Rear Park Assist. Instead of the live video feed being displayed on the infotainment touchscreen, it is sent directly to the rearview mirror. Essentially, it is an LCD monitor that doubles as a mirror when it is not in use.

Another notable mechanism on the ProMaster is Forward Collision Warning. Thanks to front-mounted cameras, it can determine if an object up ahead is a potential threat. After notifying you of the danger, it can take control of the braking system to slow down or stop the vehicle before an impact is made.

As the most luxurious model in its class, the upgraded features on this trim level don’t just pertain to the leather-clad cabin. They also extend to the exterior. Specifically, we are looking at the pickup’s bed.

Available only in the Crew Cab body style, this vehicle can be equipped with two box lengths. These are the short 5’7” or the standard 6’4” models. Both include the following components.

First is the spray-in liner. This protective coating shields the metal material from damage due to exposure to the elements and rough payloads.

Next is the lighting system. Offering ample illumination, you will be able to check on the status of your cargo at night without breaking out a torch.

Finally, a dampened tailgate is provided. Crafted out of aluminum, it is very heavy and can withstand quite a bit of weight. To prevent it from falling open, a damper has been integrated into the side to lower it slowly without you having to hold onto it. It also allows you to close it without using excessive force.

Loaded with off-roading enhancements, you can conquer just about any type of earth.

First, take a look at the stability features that come with this ride. Taking on remote trails can be rough, especially from the driver’s perspective. Thanks to the Active-Level Four Corner Air Suspension, the Multilink Coil Spring Rear Suspension, the ELocker electronic locking rear differential, and the Active Performance Shock Absorbers in the front and back, you will experience nothing but smooth sailing! These components all work in unison to soak up the impact from traveling over jagged terrain. This results in a much more comfortable time for you and your passengers inside the cabin.

Meanwhile, several underbody skid plates have been installed. These protect the transfer case, steering system, suspension, fuel tank, and front fascia from damage due to rocks. In other words, you can climb that gnarly mountain without worrying about knocking a key mechanism loose.

Finally, tow hooks are mounted to the face of the truck and also on the rear. You can move a fallen tree out of your path with ease or pull your friend’s Ford out of the mud.
