Iâ€™ve had my 2016 Nissan Frontier for a couple of years now. I know itâ€™s sometimes good to get your carâ€™s engine checked outside of service intervals, but Iâ€™m not sure when.

This is a fantastic question which isnâ€™t asked often enough. Newer, fuel injected vehicles, like your 2016 Nissan Frontier, donâ€™t need to be checked nearly as much as pre-injection cars. But, if your car is displaying any of the problems below, itâ€™s time to head to a mechanic.

If your Frontier is stalling a lot, this could indicate that thereâ€™s a problem with the spark plugs or that an electric sensor needs to be adjusted. When your car gets harder to start there can be an issue with the battery, fuel pump, or ignition system. Another thing, which is often overlooked, is an engine which is running rough when idling or under acceleration. This may be caused by a number of things, so itâ€™s best to get a professional to have a look.
