Dear Robert,
When I pressed my 2018 Nissan Titan’s horn yesterday nothing happened. I think there could be a problem with its fuse? Is this something that I need to worry about?
Thanks,
Sam
Hi, Sam!
There are a number of things which could cause your 2018 Nissan Titan’s horn to fail. A blown fuse is the probably most common cause of this issue.
Like every electrical part in your Titan, the horn needs a fuse to work. If this unit has blown, you’ll have to replace it. These components have a fork-like look and are connected by a wire.
If this wire is broken it means the unit has blown, and you’ve found your culprit. Thankfully, fuses are cheap and easy to replace.
If there’s no problem with your fuse then the issue could be related to your truck’s relay, the horn itself, or even your airbag.
The Technicians at our Service Department can quickly diagnose your Titan's problem. So, if you can’t find the cause yourself, you should call in.
This issue won’t cause severe damage to your vehicle. But a horn could prevent you from getting involved in an accident, so this isn’t something you should let linger.
Thanks for the question, Sam! Contact Kirkland Nissan, Washington if you need anything else.
