Although technology tends to be similar across the auto industry, there are several variations that can play into the deciding factor when you’re looking for a new set of wheels. One of those may just be the infotainment system. Comparing the 2021 Dodge Durango to the 2021 Ford Explorer, you can easily see which SUV has more to offer Chilliwack drivers.
Â
The Durango comes standard with a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen on the base SXT trim. However, every model from the Citadel and higher gets an even bigger 10.1-inch monitor. Operating with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, you don’t have to keep any annoying cords in the cabin. There is even a charging pad that makes replenishing the battery a breeze. Plus, Bluetooth connectivity and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot are the sprinkles on the cake.
Â
On the other hand, the Ford Explorer comes with a small 8-inch touchscreen throughout the lineup. The top-of-the-line Platinum is eligible for a 10.1-inch upgrade, but it has to be added. While wireless charging comes in at the mid-level Limited, it doesn’t offer the same enhancement for smartphone integration. You need a cable for that.
