When it comes to power and performance, the new 2021 Ram 2500 is a champion on the roads of BC. Compared to other heavy-duty pickups - such as the 2021 Ford F-250 - you can quickly see just how much better it is.
Â
Rumbling underneath the hood is a 6.4-litre HEMI V8 that delivers 410 hp (Best In Class) and 429 lb-ft of torque. Partnered with a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission and either RWD or 4WD, it can haul up to 7,956 kg (17,540 lbs).
Â
On the other hand, the Ford F-250 comes standard with a smaller 6.2-litre V8 that is mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This motor pushes out a disappointing 385 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, the maximum towing limit is capped at 5,896 kg (13,000 lbs) which is a far cry short of the Ram 2500.

Between these two full-size trucks, there is a clear winner in terms of engine output and overall capability. The Ram 2500 reigns supreme!
