Langley drivers who are searching for the best performance in a light-duty pickup need to look no further than the 2022 Ram 1500 models. Compared to the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, this truck offers more horsepower than its competitor.
Â
First, let’s take a peek under the hood of the Silverado 1500. The newest lineup no longer offers a V6 option like the Ram, so we have to jump to the 5.3-litre V8 to check out the specs. Pushing out 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque, it uses a 10-speed automatic transmission and your choice of RWD or 4WD.
Â
On the other hand, the magnanimous Ram 1500 can be fitted with the 5.7-litre HEMI V8 that delivers 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque. Standard on the Sport, Rebel, Laramie, Limited Longhorn, and Limited trim levels, it is also eligible for the eTorque mild hybrid system. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and 4WD, you can enjoy a maximum towing capacity of 5,783 (12,750 lbs).
