With the big debut of the 2019 Altima at the New York Auto Show, all eyes are on Nissan as excitement grows for the automaker’s upcoming vehicle lines – especially their sedans. Industry watchers are a-buzz with chatter about an all-new Sentra making its way to the market next year – and now, it sounds like a strong possibility.
Â
In a recent interview with Roadshow, Michael Bunce, Nissan North America’s VP of Product Planning, confirmed the company is already working on the next-generation sedan. "[The Sentra is] probably the vehicle where we have the most opportunity," he added, saying we'll see the new compact sedan sometime next year. "We have a lot of ground to make up there."
Â
Little details – if any – are available about the anticipated 2019 Nissan Sentra, but with the recent launch of the re-designed Altima, one can hypothesize that it will carry over some of its most popular features, like its all-wheel drivetrain, sharp new look inspired by the Vmotion 2.0 concept, and a re-worked powerplant under the hood. Speculators also expect that the size of the Sentra will decrease, making it even more nimble and fuel-efficient than it already is.
