It’s an unforgiving road - scattered with broken pavement and deep ruts, rising into a series of sharp-peaked hills. Its demands are many and its miles are long; and you curse under your breath, wondering why you thought a front-wheel-drive would prove up to this challenge.
Don’t fret, Seattle: you can tackle this road after you’ve slipped behind the wheel of the 2018 Nissan Rogue.
According to JD Power, the new Rogue proves a perfect complement to every all-terrain adventure - offering drivers best-in-class performance (170 HP and 175 lb.-ft of torque), superior speed (9.8-seconds for a 0 to 60 run) and smooth shifting (courtesy of the Xtronic transmission). Its true value, however, is the availability of an advanced AWD, which promises effortless backroad fun.
This seven-passenger platform delivers intuitive environment scanning, with integrated sensors noting both acceleration ratios and lane alignment. From this information it generates real-time calculations, adjusting steerage up to 30 times per second. This creates a seamless burst of traction, with all torque divided evenly between the wheels. Tire grippage is increased and the strut-front suspension provides optimal stiffness. This allows drivers to accommodate changing terrains with ease, relying on the AWD’s custom modes to bolster every response.
There’s no road too treacherous to conquer!
