Recently, Nissan North America celebrated a notable milestone â€“ the company came together to mark the 15th year of their Canton Plant in Mississippi. The first Nissan vehicle officially rolled off the production line on May 27, 2003, and since then, the assembly plant has gone on to manufacture over 4 million cars, trucks, SUVs and vans.

The Canton Plant has also been instrumental in transforming Mississippi into a hub for world-class automotive manufacturing, creating more than 6,500 jobs for team members and more than 25,000 direct and indirect jobs statewide. This year, the plant also added a second shift at the facility, creating 250 hourly jobs, to support increased demand for NV Commercial Vans.

Over the last 15 years, Nissan has been able to give back by donating $15 million in charitable contributions to local community partners, while also facilitating over 8,000 volunteer hours from the Canton team. Not only is the plant an important player in Mississippiâ€™s industry, but community efforts too.
