When selecting a new vehicle for your family, safety is imperative. You need the peace of mind that your precious cargo is protected and that the car is equipped with the latest high-tech safety features.
Â
With the 2018 Nissan Maxima, you get both. It was recently recognized by J.D. Power in their 2018 Initial Quality Study (IQS) as one of the top-rated family vehicles, earning an Initial Quality Power Circle Rating of 5 out of 5, as well as a quality award in the Large Car segment.
Â
According to their review, the Maxima sets the bar high for its class by offering consumers a large portfolio of safety technologies designed with passengers and drivers in mind. This includes the carrying over of forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking from late 2017 models on all five trims. Consumers can also benefit from intelligent cruise control, blind spot warning and rear cross traffic alert on the top-line SL, SR and Platinum levels.
Â
In federal crash tests, the 2018 Maxima also scored incredibly well. It received an overall rating of five out of five stars with highest scores in frontal, side and rollover tests, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Plus, the Maxima won a Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) with top “Good†ratings in all categories, as well as a “Superior†score for crash avoidance and mitigation. Impressive!
