According to an Automobile World article, the Nissan Leaf NISMO will go on sale July 31, 2018, in Japan. This latest vehicle will marry the advanced technologies of the world’s best-selling all-electric car with the sporty styling and performance of the NISMO series.
Â
On the exterior, the vehicle features the characteristic layered double wings of the NISMO, which is expected to improve downforce without compromising drag coefficient. It rides on custom 18-inch aluminum wheels that minimize air resistance, while the body of the Leaf NISMO signals high-performance with a low center of gravity.Â
Â
Inside, the sporty interior appeals to the tuner-at-heart with slick NISMO’s custom red accents and a three-spoke steering wheel with a red center mark. The instrument panel also boasts a custom carbon-like finish, and the electronic shift has a gun-metal chrome finish.
Â
On the road, the Nissan Leaf NISMO handles with gusto thanks to the custom suspension system, which has been fine-tuned for comfort, and an internal computer that allows for strong acceleration responses. As the vehicle whips through twists and turns, the electric power steering and Intelligent Trace Control provide stabilized cornering and lane-tracing abilities for added support.
Sounds magnificent, doesn't it?
Â
Currently, Nissan doesn’t plan to roll-out the Leaf NISMO to international markets, but one can hope. In the meantime, stop by Kirkland Nissan to test drive the 2018 Leaf EV to experience its zero emissions performance.
