It’s a series of payload demands - with a trailer stacked with cargo and a cabin filled with summer gear. An SUV is stuffed with boxes, bags, and luggage bursting at the seams; and still more items sit in your driveway, waiting to be loaded. You bite your lip, uncertain of just… how your ride will handle the weight of an off-road adventure. Its weak engine will surely sputter from the strain.
Nissan suggests getting an SUV upgrade this season.
According to Automoblog, the 2019 Armada SV will soon arrive in Everett - and it promises class-leading performance. Beneath its hood discover a 5.6L Endurance V8, which generates a potent 390 HP (at 5,800 RPMs) and 394 lb.-ft of torque (at 4,000 RPMs). Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL) technology provides increased intake capabilities, while an electronic drive-by-wire throttle enhances the ignition sequence. A seven-speed automatic transmission boasts a low-range gear ratio (2.937:1) to eliminate troublesome downshifting; and an independent double-wishbone suspension frames both the front and rear, utilizing auto-leveling functions to maximize trailer traction on unsteady terrains.
When these elements engage, they enable the 2019 SV to produce exceptional strength - effortlessly accommodating up to 8,500 pounds of conventional towing and a payload capacity of 1,724 pounds. No cargo will prove too great a challenge for this V8 beast.
