If you are ready to upgrade your too-small sedan for something better equipped for your growing family, the 2019 Pathfinder is worth some serious consideration. Nissan just announced details about the forthcoming model and itâ€™s loaded with more tech and convenience features than ever before.

Best of all, the pricing for the 2019 model isnâ€™t drastically different than previously. The base MSRP of $31,230 for the Pathfinder S 2WD is a small increase from 2018, but with it comes more standard features, including a Rear Sonar System on all trims and new USB type-C ports.

The seven-passenger 2019 Nissan Pathfinder will be available in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations and a choice of four grade levels: S, SV, SL and Platinum. On top of the enhancements to the base level, the SV and higher trims will now also boast Intelligent Cruise Control, Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Standard LED headlights will be included on all SL and Platinum grades as well.

In 2018, Nissan introduced an automatic emergency braking system and a rear door alert system to the Pathfinder â€“ both of which will continue to make an appearance on the 2019 model. Under the hood, all trims will also run on a 3.5-liter V6 engine with direct injection, mated to an Xtronic automatic transmission, which nets a combined 284 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque. According to Nissan, the Pathfinder offers a best-in-class maximum towing capacity of up to 6,000 lbs (when properly equipped), giving owners the ability to tow recreational trailers, watercrafts, flatbeds or campers.
