If you are looking for a half-ton truck to add to your fleet this coming year, consider test driving a 2019 Nissan Titan Pro-4X. PickupTrucks.com recently put the platform through a series of rigorous assessments, which resulted in favorable results for the Titan and a spot on the website’s top five list.
Â
The 2019 Nissan Titan PRO-4X runs on a 390-horsepower 5.6-liter Endurance V8 engine for a total of 394 lb-ft of torque. Paired to a seven-speed automatic transmission with part-time four-wheel drive, the truck can tow a max capacity of 9,380 lbs, while using an observed fuel economy of 12.4 mpg. The PRO-4X model is also equipped with Bilstein off-road shock absorbers, an electronic locking rear differential, and Hill Descent Control for added capability.
Â
According to PickupTruck.com’s assessment, the 2019 Titan PRO-4X offers solid driving dynamics, a well-thought-out cabin and top braking performance. On the road, the truck is civilized and offers a well-damped ride quality and can stop on a dime, quite literally. It beat out the Ram 1500 by a whopping 20 feet in the empty-bed 60-to-zero-mph emergency braking test, which is very impressive. The reviewers also raved about the interior details, like the big gauges and easy-to-reach controls, leather-wrapped steering wheel and rear-seat amenities, including soft elbow points, heated seats, power outlets and USB ports.
