The Leaf e+ was the star of the show at CES 2019, but Nissan also debuted another vehicle â€“ the all-new Leaf NISMO RC. This all-electric race car packs double the power and torque output of its predecessor and boasts dual electric motors, advanced battery technology, and all-wheel-drive capability in a sporty and attractive body.

According to Nissan, the Leaf NISMO RCâ€™s two electric motors are placed at the opposite ends of the chassis and manage power independently to each axle for a total of 240 kW and 640 Nm of torque. This racer also boasts a low weight of only 2,690 lbs and a carbon fiber monocoque chassis that helps the EV reach 62 mph in a mere 3.4 seconds â€“ a 50 percent improvement over the previous generation of the Leaf NISMO RC. Now thatâ€™s fast for a plug-in!Â

As for its looks, the car is marked with Nissanâ€™s signature V-motion grille and a long hood, as well as an eye-catching silver-and-black paint scheme with NISMO red accents. Whether cornering at high speeds or waiting at the start line for the flag to drop, the Nissan Leaf NISMO RC always appears as if itâ€™s in constant motion.Â
