The all-new 2019 Leaf PLUS goes on sale at select Nissan dealers nationwide this month. Ahead of the vehicle’s official release, Nissan has unveiled pricing for the higher-output all-electric vehicle, which promises to deliver more range on a single charge.
The 2019 Leaf PLUS will be available in three trims: S PLUS, SV PLUS and SL PLUS. Pricing for the base level starts at $36,550, while the SV PLUS is offered at $38,510, followed by the top-of-the-line grade at $42,550.
All Leaf PLUS models are energized by a 62-kWh battery pack, which churns a 160-kW motor to produce 214 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque. According to the automaker, the new Nissan LEAF S PLUS powertrain adds to the car's range by approximately 50 percent for a total of 226 miles (versus the current Leaf’s 150-mile range). Charging for the PLUS will be handled by a new 70 kW Quick Charge System, which won’t require any additional downtime over the regular model despite the 55-percent larger battery capacity.
