Kirkland residents, in case you missed it, Nissan launched a big ad campaign centered around the fact that the Nissan LEAF has a claim to the “best-selling vehicle of all time†title.
The Freedom to Move campaign launched this past weekend and depicts Roberta Mancino, a world-record-holding professional wingsuit flyer and base jumper, gliding through the air doing what she does best—after all, Mancino has more than 10,000 skydives to her credit. She is also shown enjoying the lengthy range of the new LEAF Plus, which gets up to 226 miles on one full charge.
"In the past, a lot of electric vehicle advertising focused on the technology alone and neglected to tell the unique story of how driving an electric car makes you feel," said Allyson Witherspoon, vice president, Marketing Communications and Media, Nissan North America. "We have found that people who experience EV driving really love the quick acceleration, the quiet cabin and all the intelligent technology that make driving less stressful. It really is a joy to drive an EV and few do it better than our best-selling LEAF." Notably, the LEAF was the first electric car in history to hit the 400,000 sales unit milestone in March. Since 2010, it’s been revolutionizing the industry.
