The all-electric Nissan LEAF is an incredible zero-emissions vehicle that’s been completely redesigned for 2018, offering brand new performance and intelligence features. Accordingly, consumers are voting with their wallets. A total of 10,000 customers have already pre-ordered the car ahead of next year.
Since its unveiling in October 2017, the 2018 LEAF has received unprecedented interest. Orders for the first EV in the line back in 2010 only numbered in the hundreds. It was, after all, unproven technology. However, there has been a five-fold increase in purchases since 2012, with 83,000 drivers now on the road.
The 10,000 orders in Europe alone come ahead of the LEAF’s release in February 2018. Consumers in Seattle will be eager to get in on the fun, too, as the new car features a number of advancements. Included among these is ProPILOT Advanced Driving Assistance, which monitors vehicles traveling ahead and automatically breaks and centers itself within the lane as necessary. Additionally, the EV boasts a 150-mile range
and the convenience of ePedal technology. This system enables owners to stop, start, accelerate and brake using only one input.
