Everything about the Nissan GT-R is designed with speed in mind. From the engine and drivetrain down to the shape of each and every exterior piece, this car was born and built 59 years ago to be a champion, and not much has changed since then.
The 2018 GT-R skips the factory line entirely, with each 3.8-L V6 handmade by a Nissan craftsman in a room that controls dust levels and temperature. Why? Because that’s how they build Formula One racing engines. Talk about good influence. Able to switch between modes to accommodate for changing driving conditions, the vehicle’s “R†setting adjusts to optimal performance parameters on-the-fly, including suspension, transmission, and shocks.
With a redesigned rear fascia that helps pull hot air away from the exhaust, the new GT-R can be pushed to limits never before possible. The side skirts are also created for quickness, preventing turbulence by keeping wind from getting underneath the body. To top it all off, larger grille openings help cool the engine components, ensuring that you can put the pedal to the metal— and keep it there.
And we’ve only just scratched the surface of what the 2018 GT-R is fully capable of. Contact Kirkland Nissan to learn more.
