Since the beginning of the year, rumors have been swirling about the possibility of Nissan releasing an all-new Terra vehicle. And recently, those suspicions were confirmed when the automaker shared a statement announcing the arrival of the Terra in China this spring.
Â
The SUV will be the first vehicle from Nissan's Frame and LCV Division to launch under the company's mid-term plan, Nissan M.O.V.E. 2022 - an initiative that the automaker hopes will make them a global leader in pick-ups and frame-based SUVs.Â
Â
Â
At the moment, little is known about the all-wheel drive Terra, but automotive watchers are speculating that it will feature a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 184 horsepower. It's designed to be practical and authentic with a rugged "go anywhere" attitude.
Â
Come April, Nissan will release further information about the Terra, which is expected to launch in Asian markets after its China release. Will the Terra make its way to North American soil? It's too early to know, but we will be following this story very closely.
