If you are in the market for a sturdy pickup that is in its element when it’s off the beaten path, then you need to take a look at the 2021 Jeep Gladiator Willys. Compared to the 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road, it is easy to see how this truck is the superior choice.
Â
First, the Jeep Gladiator Willys rides on 17-inch aluminum wheels in black with 32-inch Mud-Terrain BFGoodrich tires. Thanks to the Dana axles (M210 in the front and M220 in the back) and the 3.73 rear axle ratio, it can handle rock crawling to the extreme. Also useful in this regard are the exclusive Command-Trac part-time shift-on-the-fly 4x4 drivetrain, the Trac-Lok limited-slip differential, the dual stabilizer bars, and the heavy-duty chock absorbers in red. There are even protective skid plates positioned under the vehicle to protect the fuel tank and transfer case.
Â
As for the Tacoma TRD Off-Road, this model features smaller 16-inch wheels, a lockable rear differential, shock absorbers, and a basic 4WD system. While it is better geared for adventures than other trims in the lineup, it doesn’t hold a candle to the Gladiator’s capabilities.
