Do you want a pickup truck that has stellar off-roading capabilities and plenty of strength? Comparing the 2021 Jeep Gladiator to the 2021 Honda Ridgeline, you can easily tell which model is beefier. Available here at O’Connor Chrysler, you can test drive one of these beasts during our regular business hours.
Â
The Jeep Gladiator is equipped with the 3.6-litre V6 Pentastar motor. This standard powertrain is coupled with either an 8-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual transmission. Pumping out 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, it offers a hardy performance on and off the beaten path. Also, it can pull up to 3,469 kg (7,650 lbs), which is one of the highest towing capacities in its class. If you prefer an alternative to gasoline, then you can opt for the 3.0-litre Ecodiesel V6. Delivering 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque, it can haul 2,948 kg (6,500 lbs) with no problem. Both versions come with the Command-Trac part-time- shift-on-the-fly 4x4 drivetrain as well.
Â
On the other hand, the Honda Ridgeline uses a slightly smaller 3.5-litre V6 mated with a 9-speed automatic transmission and AWD. Producing 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque, it isn’t as tough as the Gladiator. The towing limit is capped at 2,267 kg (5,000 lbs), which is significantly less too.
