If you are a fan of video games, then you have probably heard of Gran Turismo. Back in 2017, PS4 released the Sport edition, and Nissan was thrilled about it. They were so happy that they decided to hook up the 2017 GT-R to an official DualShock 4 controller and drive it around a track.

The company brought in Jann Mardenborough, an experienced player, GT Academy winner, and Nismo athlete, to handle this racecar robot. With a helicopter capturing the run overhead, this impressive ride averaged 76 mph and hit a top speed of 131 mph. For safety purposes, two independent systems were put in place to cut the engine and apply full ABS braking in the event of interference from other radio frequencies.

This slick sports car underwent major modifications for this experiment. On the consumer end, the 2017 Nissan GT-R Premium has also received a bit of a facelift. A restyled dashboard and larger touchscreen make navigating through your entertainment options much easier. Shift paddles have been repositioned from the steering column to the actual wheel, and enhanced sound absorption makes for a quieter trip down the highway.
