I live in Ontario and wanted to purchase a Ford transit. There were many challenges in figuring out how we would get the vehicle to the East coast. Jag helped me patiently throughout the whole process. Any time I needed something I was able to text him and he responded as soon as he was able. It was a pleasure dealing with Jag and Key West Ford! Thank you all!

These guys don’t communicate with each other. We wasted hours at the dealership test driving and getting a contract worked out and at the last minute we were told, “ oh this truck was sold 2 days ago”. We had taken a ferry into the city specifically to purchase this truck. How hard is it for the sales guys to put a sold sign on a vehicle? You would think they would have a bulletin board with inventory sales listed. Unacceptable!

We had an exceptional experience at Key West Ford. Their entire team was kind, helpful and responsive when dealing with us (and our kiddies). Ian Riddell, Sales manager helped us find a Sales Representative who was extremely knowledgeable in the vehicle we were pursuing. Jag Dhillon helped us navigate through all the questions we had, was patient and helpful. Our kids were entertained (with popcorn), we were give all the information needed. Michelle Kellough, was extremely helpful navigating through our warranty options, we were presently surprised with what she found for us. Thank you, this was a big purchase and a big day for us and we really appreciated all you did for us.

Latest Nissan News For Seattle, Tacoma, And Bellevue Washington
It’s a tradition of dull lines - with the electric market defined by bulky plastics and unforgiving vinyls. Great efficiency demands a sacrifice of design, and drivers resign themselves to hastily crafted cabins.

Nissan thinks it’s time for a change - which is why it’s offering Seattle families the sleek style they crave, bolstering its 2018 LEAF S with a brand-new interior! Let’s take a peek inside.

Open the door of the 2018 LEAF S and smile. The days of bland design are gone - with this all-electric platform boasting plush cloth seating (which, as Kelley Blue Book notes, delivers metallic-inspired coloring and available contrast stitching). The soft-materials of the dashboard and center stack console feature a taupe-scheme, while a seven-inch instrument gauge offers vivid LCD lighting. A slick rotary-style transmission provides a retro-touch, and aluminum accents are found throughout.

Nissan believes that variety is the spice of life - which is why it’s fused the 2018 LEAF S with several distinct color options. Drivers can create a custom cabin by choosing: Light Gray, Solid Black, or Black and Blue.

With the release of the 2018 LEAF, Nissan allows drivers to achieve mid-size styling in the EV market. To learn more about the S' available cabin features contact our team today.

The Nissan Motor Corporation recently announced that its best-selling electric vehicle, the Leaf, has earned a five-star safety rating from the Japan New Car Assessment Program. This is the highest rating possible that an automobile can be awarded.

The zero-emission Leaf scored 94.8 points out of a possible 100 for occupant safety in a collision. The program is run by Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the National Agency for Automotive Safety and Victims' Aid.

According to Nissan, the 2018 Leaf offers a host of standard safety features, which contributed to the EV's five-star rating. They include a highly rigid body structure, six SRS airbags, seats with enforced headrests and back frames, and seat belts with pre-tensioners and load-limiting capabilities for the front and rear outboard seating positions. The Leaf is also equipped with a number of advanced technologies, including ProPilot for autonomous single-lane driving on highways, ProPilot Park autonomous parking, and e-Pedal, which lets drivers accelerate and brake by operating only the accelerator pedal.

The next-gen Leaf also passed the Japan New Car Assessment Program's electric shock protection trial with flying colors, which tests to see how well a vehicle protects occupants from being shocked in a collision. The EV's highly protective battery case, layout and body structure performed extremely well by shielding passengers from high-voltage parts. The car is also equipped with a high-voltage cut-off device that activates in a collision, thus offering additional security.

Complacency is a dirty word - which is why Nissan has struck it from the company lexicon, refusing to acknowledge its existence. Engineers aren’t allowed to whisper it; designers can’t debate its merits; and compliance officers must never entertain its meaning. Instead they must all emphasize innovation with every breath.

It’s this vocabulastic dedication that has enabled Nissan to launch its 2018 LEAF - and dominate the global market.

According to Electrek, the 2018 LEAF will soon rev from country to country. Nissan is expanding its production processes, seeking to establish itself in every corner of the world; and, to do this, it’s bringing an all-green initiative to seven additional markets: Thailand, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and South Korea.

Nissan has never proven a strong presence in these areas - with sales trailing its Ford and Honda competitors. The brand is confident, however, that the 2018 LEAF will deliver massive sales. This all-electric hatchback has already earned record-breaking pre-orders in Europe and the United States; and consumer interest is at a high. It’s the perfect time, therefore, to dominate the Australasia market.

How will the LEAF accomplish this task? We believe its e-powertrain will impress every driver - yielding a peppy 147 HP (a 38% increase over the previous generation) and 236 lb.-ft of torque (a 26% increase, respectively). The laminated lithium-ion battery cells provide 60% more energy acceleration to ensure a 150-mile range; and the recently stiffened torsion bar allows for stable handling. This platform will maneuver through every challenge with ease.

nissan electric vehicles in seattle washingtonGreat news for Seattle area all-electric vehicle fans! A recent Automotive News article reports that Nissan will add four EVs to its line-up over the next five years, along with its luxury counterpart Infiniti, which is expected to add two EVs to its product line within the same timeframe.

These six battery-powered vehicles are the Japanese automaker's share of the 12 EVs that are now planned for the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi brand through to 2022. Up until now, a breakdown has not been available by brand. But, according to Toshihiro Hirai, Corporate VP for Powertrain and EV Engineering, the six Nissan vehicles will only include full all-electric vehicles and not plug-in hybrids, like the new e-Power system, which is currently available in Japan on the Nissan Note.

Rumours of an electric SUV have also been swirling for quite some time, especially since the release of the Nissan IMx Concept at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show. And there is the likelihood of a multi-purpose vehicle as well, which could prove popular with large families looking for an alternative to gas-powered minivans. These prospective models would join the next-gen Leaf, which is currently for sale in North America and boasts a significantly revised design and increased powertrain performance.

Can't wait until 2022 to purchase one of Nissan's newest all-electric vehicles? Satiate your hunger for plug-in performance with a 2018 Leaf EV. Models are arriving soon at our dealership - pre-book your test drive in one today!
In 1962 Madeleine L’Engle introduced readers to her tesseract-world - transporting them across space and dreams alike. A Wrinkle In Time (which charted the adventures of young Meg Murray) brought weighty science-fiction themes to children, allowing them to explore life, death, and love. The book proved an instant success and has remained a steady presence on the charts ever since.

Soon it will also beguile screen audiences - with Disney bringing a live-action version to theaters in March 2018. This adaptation will star Hollywood elite (Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, and Oprah Winfrey); and it will also serve as the new Nissan LEAF’s first leading role.

According to Inside EVs, the 2018 LEAF will make its debut in the Wrinkle In Time film. This hatchback will rev onto the screen, providing lithium-ion power to Meg Murray and her friends. Its aerodynamic body - complete with slim side panels and a drag-reducing rear diffuser - will prove perfect for traveling between worlds, effortlessly adapting to every changing incline; while its portable trickle-charge cable will ensure on-the-go ease, delivering a 120-volt connection to bolster the battery. Intelligent Trace Control technology should keep the platform right on track, engaging the tires as needed to ensure smooth cornering; and Active Ride software will mitigate bumps to promote a smooth experience.

Meg and her team will certainly find inter-dimensional travel much easier!

It’s a collection of numbers. Throughout January critics have jotted down every EPA estimation - comparing drive-ranges and mileage promises, trying to decipher the slightest power variations. The impending release of the 2018 LEAF left them anxious for answers. Would this all-electric hatchback deliver the necessary performance? Could Nissan surpass its competitors?

Both questions can be greeted with an enthusiastic Yes.

According to Jalopnik, the 2018 LEAF’s drive-range has just been revealed - and it’s a staggering 151-miles. While this number had been speculated for months, no official confirmation was available… until now. After rigorously testing the 40-kWH battery pack, the EPA assures critics that this Nissan platform will deliver best-in-class power; and it will easily surpass its closest rivals (the Ford Focus Electric, the Honda Clarity, and the Volkswagen e-Golf).

How does it achieve such an impressive performance? Nissan has fused the 2018 LEAF with both a 110-kW AC motor and a 192-cell lithium-ion system. When paired with a shortened gearbox (which improves responses times and eliminates down-shifting), the hatch can rev for more than 150 miles per single full charge. This will brand it a perfect option for Seattle commuters, accommodating their day-to-day needs with ease.

Want to learn more? Contact our team today to request further specs about the 2018 LEAF’s drive-range.

It’s the highest of expectations - with critics tallying every pre-order, calculating potential sales and possible profits. The 2018 LEAF is revving toward Seattle; and behind it trails a long shadow, with the success of its predecessors looming. Can this platform continue the record-breaking pace Nissan has set within the EV market?

We think it can.

According to CNET, anticipation is mounting for the 2018 LEAF - with 13,000 units pre-ordered for the United States. This is an unprecedented number, with none of the previous Nissan platforms delivering such high interest; and critics believe that (when the hatchback arrives later this year) it will zip to the top of the charts.

The Kirkland team agrees. On January 1st we were thrilled to debut the 2018 LEAF to our customers - and the response was both immediate and enthusiastic. Drivers were thrilled by this platform’s innovative all-electric powertrain (which combines a 40-kWh lithium-ion battery with a 110-kW synchronous motor) and exclusive e-pedal system (which eliminates the traditional brake and accelerator design, blending them together instead for a single control unit). The promise of a 100% off-the-line torque experience left them amazed, with all 236 lb.-ft maximized for quick accelerations; while the 240-volt outlet yields charge times as low as one hour.

The 2018 LEAF is poised to dominate the Seattle market - and we can’t wait to see this platform purring down every street. To learn more contact us today.

Above the Nissan threshold once waited a neon sign - its border lined in red, its face angrily glowing. Across its insides read 300,000 and every zero blazed with fluorescent intensity. This was a milestone that none thought obtainable, a goal no one believed achievable; and each day the number flashed its disappointment.

That has (finally) changed.

According to Electrek, Nissan has just delivered its 300,000 LEAF to the market - making it the world’s best-selling EV platform! Strong responses in the United States and Japan have propelled this hatchback to the top of the charts; and no competitor (including Ford’s Fusion, Toyota’s Prius, or Chevrolet's Malibu Hybrid) has managed to secure such staggering month-to-month growth: with critics noting a jump from 1,457 units in November 2017 to 1,899 units in December 2017.

These numbers prove undeniably impressive - and, with the impending release of the 2018 LEAF, we expect Nissan to remain the leading EV brand. Anchored by a 40-kWh lithium-ion battery, this platform will yield 124 MPGe in the city and 101 MPGe on the highway. Its 150-mile all-electric range will prove perfect for daily commuters, sparing them frequent station visits; while its 147 HP powertrain will ensure peppy traveling. The next generation of performance is on its way.

We believe 300,000 will soon be replaced with 400,000 - with the LEAF leading the sales charge.

Yesterday, Nissan unveiled a brand new concept vehicle at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, called the Xmotion (pronounced “cross-motion”). And just 24 hours later, the six-passenger three-row crossover SUV is already receiving rave reviews for its sleek exterior lines and sharp angles, as well as its unique interior, which blends touchscreen displays, innovative control mechanisms, and a futuristic look that’s clean, modern, and expressive.

According to Nissan, the Xmotion concept fuses Japanese culture and traditional craftsmanship with American-styling and next-generation Intelligent Mobility technology. The exterior features a dynamic presence with an understated sculptural body, which includes prominently flared fenders, wedge-shaped headlights, and a bold evolution of Nissan’s iconic V-motion grille. It’s an expression of dramatic simplicity, which is wonderfully contrasted by the rugged metal-crafted wheels and all-terrain tire design. Some automotive journalists have likened the concept vehicle to that of a futuristic version of the cult-classic Nissan Xterra, which they claim is a good thing.

And while the exterior of the Xmotion is incredibly interesting, the interior of this concept vehicle is what’s truly astounding. Inside, it features a crafted design that pays homage to Nissan’s roots by combining a symbolic representation of a Japanese landscape with an advanced user interface and autonomous driving technologies.

This includes a digital assistant that’s personified as a virtual koi fish on the in-car displays. It swims between the console and a middle-mounted armrest touchscreen, and can intelligently program interior cabin conditions based on the destination and user preferences. The virtual koi also assists the Xmotion when in autonomous mode, providing key information about the current route and potential slowdowns, while also handling driving duties.

As for what’s under the hood, Nissan didn’t specify powertrain specs since the Xmotion is an expression of design and technology, versus power and performance. And seeing that it is a concept vehicle, it isn’t intended for production, however, many industry watchers expect that the Xmotion's design cues may find their way to future Nissan SUVs, like the rumored Xterra. Time will be the judge of that.

The 2018 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) kicks off tomorrow in Detroit with The Gallery. This exclusive event gives attendees an up-close look at the most exquisite and acclaimed collection of automobiles in the world, totaling $10 million.

In preparation for the 2018 NAIAS, Nissan has released a subtle teaser, which is generating a great deal of buzz. Speculation is growing amongst industry insiders as many wonder if Nissan will be unveiling an autonomous concept car at the motor show.

The 42-second video features modernistic artwork, which demonstrates how Nissan is using tradition to bridge to the future of mobility. The message is rather cryptic, but automotive watchers have suggested that the automaker is hinting at an upcoming concept car that combines Nissan’s familiar design cues with all-new self-driving safety technologies.

Many suspect that the concept car will also feature a hybrid or all-electric powertrain, given Nissan’s recent launch of the next-gen Leaf EV, as well as other electric concepts at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show. At the recent 2018 Consumer Electronics Show, the automaker also showcased its “Brain-to-Vehicle” autonomous technology, which uses brainpower to perform maneuvers quicker than the human body can react.

Needless to say, Nissan has been cooking up an amazing array of innovative technologies that have the automotive industry buzzing with excitement.
