The twin-turbo 3.5L V6 still yields 565 HP). Instead it boasts dynamic lines, delivering runway-worthy style with every rev.


As Nissan explains, the 2018 GT-R Track Edition will steal every spotlight. Resting on 20-inch forged aluminum-alloy wheels, this platform prowls the pavement. Lean carbon-fiber materials create a sculpted profile (185-inches long, 75-inches wide, 54-inches long); while air vents highlight the narrow paneling. A V-Motion grille boasts matte-chrome detailing, with LED daytime running lights flanking the sides; and the rigid hood-line yields a sleek effect, eliminating the traditional engine de-formation. Quad titanium tips anchor the rear and lend an aggressive touch.

This platform (anchored by a turbocharged V6) achieves a quarter-mile blitz of just 6.6 seconds, and it reaches a top-speed ratio of 222 in less than five. No other production car has managed such staggering performance.

How did Nissan accomplish this goal? It fused the GT-R with a powerful engine suite. Beneath the hood sits a sport-tuned 24-valve V6, with its aluminum block bolstered by low-friction plasma-sprayed bores to modulate temperatures. The PSI ratio races to 70, ensuring massive boosts of torque; while secondary air intakes propel the heating catalysts and maintain optimum fuel distribution. This all combines with a 3,000-HP output that remains unmatched.

In 2017 Dodge unleashed its SRT Demon - a terrifying V8 that was soon proclaimed the fastest production car in the world. None could match its performance ratios (which shattered the redline at 808 HP and 717 lb-ft. of torque); and no engineering team could replicate its 0 to 60 blitz of 2.3 seconds. NIssan disagrees.



According to CarBuzz, the 2018 GT-R has just shattered every expectation - securing the world record for fastest quarter-mile. This Nissan platform blazed past the Demon, delivering a 6.85-second time (compared to Dodge’s 9.65). At the Bahrain International Circuit both cars took to the starting line, wanting to secure a first-place finish. Critics assumed the conclusion was inevitable, with all anticipating another SRT victory.

Instead they found themselves stunned as the 2018 GT-R roared to the podium - with its 3.8L V6 engine yielding an impressive 600 HP. Though this ratio is lower than the Demon's, the Kirkland team is quick to note that Nissan's impeccable engineering (which includes an ATTESA All-Wheel-Drivetrain, 20-inch super-forged wheels, and the Brembo braking system) allows the platform to achieve an almost instantaneous burst of torque.
