Latest Nissan News For Seattle, Tacoma, And Bellevue Washington
Performance defies a one-size-fits all philosophy - which is why Nissan bolstered its 2018 Titan XD with two distinct engine options. Each emphasizes specific power ratios to accommodate driver needs, ensuring a bespoke experience with every mile.

No longer compromise, Seattle.

As the JD Power team explains, the new Titan XD offers two engines - a traditional combustible powerpoint and a diesel alternative. Let’s examine them both:

Traditional

The 5.6L Endurance V8 delivers exceptional strength - generating 390 HP (5,800 RPM) and 394 lb.-ft of torque (at 4,000 RPM). It pairs a fluid seven-speed automatic transmission with a robust RWD; and this ensures class-leading towing capabilities (up to 11,600 pounds of conventional trailering and 2,910 payload pounds) while on the backroads.

Alternative

The 5.0L Diesel V8 combines enhanced turbocharges with a potent 32-valve design to increase air intake levels. This allows it to deliver 310 HP (at 3,200 RPM) and 555 lb.-ft of torque (at 1,600 RPM). Its low redlines ensure optimum traction, with the truck quickly activating its high-range gear ratios on even the toughest terrains. This promotes stable control when hauling up to 11,280 pounds of conventional trailering and 2,710 pounds of payloads.

For drivers craving quick accelerations and best-in-class power the Endurance V8 will deliver superior results. The diesel option, however, offers value for long-haul commuters - embracing steady responses and smooth control.

The view proves obscure - half-hidden by a sloping C-Pillar, bursting with shadows and tight corners on its peripheral. You squint, trying to gauge the proper parking distance; but the too-loud scrape of your back bumper lets you know that you’ve failed. This will be a costly mistake.

Nissan wants to spare you another. This is why it’s paired the 2018 Titan XD with superior rearview support.

According to JD Power, the new Titan XD boasts the Around View monitor system. This four-camera collection enables drivers to accurately (and confidently) navigate even the tightest spaces. It provides a 360-degree real-time composite of the surrounding terrain, taking advantage of strategically mounted wide-angles lenses along the back bumper. Images are then streamed to the NissanConnect console to showcase the full span of the truck. Available Moving Object Detection technology warns of impending obstacles, while audio cues notify of improper lane alignments.

To further assist drivers, the 2018 Titan XD also features grid-line navigation - with the Around View monitor charting the most efficient reversal routes. Follow the pattern to ensure a fluid experience; and take advantage of the color-coded warning system (green designates clearance of up to 10 feet; while yellow represents three feet; and red signals 1.5 feet, respectively) to avoid any sudden collisions.

The Around View monitor proves perfect for those who seek to simplify parking. To learn more about this system contact our dealership today.
