It’s an expectation of size - with the Nissan Frontier forever tailored to half-ton performance. This pick-up (with its hulking all-wheel-drive and elongated bed) embraces a bigger is better design, ensuring that Seattle consumers can achieve every towing goal.Â
With the release of the 2019 Frontier, however, Nissan seeks to redefine the driving experience.
According to Auto Evolution, the 2019 Frontier will straddle the line between power and efficiency - serving as a compact alternative to the half-ton market. Nissan will fuse this platform with a shortened wheelbase (exact dimensions are currently unknown but critics expect numbers that will rival the new Ranger, measuring approximately 211-inches) and a four-cylinder V6 engine. An aluminum-infused body-on-frame construction will ensure nimble handling, while the inclusion of a six-speed manual transmission will eliminate the extra heft of an automatic. When these elements combine, they will provide a lightweight design: which will allow drivers to more efficiently navigate the downtown streets.
The new Frontier, critics explain, is intended for everyday hauls - with its naturally-aspirated powertrain embracing agile responses. This will redefine the half-ton market and deliver a streamlined pick-up experience.
