The 2018 Leaf is a Top Choice for Seattle Families Using Child Safety Seats

Looking for an all-electric vehicle, but are concerned about car seats and how they will fit into the back row? Consider the 2018 Nissan Leaf as your next family vehicle. According to a recent test by Cars.com, the current generation Leaf offers ample room for booster seats, earning an A grade for optimum ease of use and fit.

During their evaluations, the car seat experts assessed a variety of factors, namely the latch system, as well as the fit of infant, rear-facing convertible, forward-facing convertible and booster seats. Based on their findings, the 2018 Leaf was best suited for two boosters in the back row. With this configuration, the experts found that the seats, which are typically used with children 40 lbs and higher, were straightforward to install after raising the rear head restraints. The buckles were also easy to connect and offered a stable base for the boosters.

Rear-facing and forward-facing convertible seats scored a B grade, along with the latch system, since they did require some muscle to connect and install. But, overall, the experts were able to fit two child safety seats in the back row, which many parents will find beneficial.
