Latest Nissan News For Seattle, Tacoma, And Bellevue Washington
If the Maxima has caught your attention, don’t pass up the opportunity to add one to your Seattle garage. The 2018 3.5 S variant is a superlative sedan, offering consumers top-of-its-class performance and safety that’s sure to please.

Vroom! This baby can fly. The 2018 Maxima 3.5 S comes standard with a highly capable 3.5L V6. It will send you rocketing along thanks to its tremendous 300 HP and 261-lb.-ft. of torque. Passing power is sensational—it moves from 50 to 70 MPH in only 3.8 seconds, a mark that sets it at the top of its segment. And mileage remains just peachy—you’ll average 21 city / 30 highway.

This Maxima is also a recipient of the IIHS 2018 Top Safety Pick. It received the highest score of “Good” on every crash test the body threw at it. This includes the “moderate overlap front,” “small overlap front,” “side,” “roof strength,” and “head restraints and seats” categories. Further, it even nabbed a “Superior” ranking for “front crash prevention.”

The 2018 Nissan Maxima is no average car. The Japanese automaker has absolutely stuffed this sedan with refinements and comprehensive conveniences. It’s a pretty unbelievable mid-size cabin that needs to be experienced.

With the Maxima, you have your choice of either an Ascot/Alcantara simulated suede/leather combination or a full-on treatment of the latter material. Once situated, you’ll quickly notice the express open/close sliding and tilting glass sunroof above. It’ll let in abundant light and a soothing breeze on warm days. And for those times when the weather doesn’t cooperate, the windshield wipers are rain-sensing. They’ll automatically adjust their speed in accordance with the heaviness of the precipitation.

But that’s not all. Maxima provides Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility for your smartphone. The forward-thinking NissanConnect services offer roadside assistance and emergency dialing at a moment’s notice. Additionally, the entire infotainment system can be wielded via the center console’s Display Commander wheel.

Ride through Seattle with a profound peace of mind thanks to the 2018 Nissan Maxima. The sedan will keep you and your passengers immensely secure as a function of the many features and technologies it employs. And trust us, the results bear themselves out in crashworthiness testing.

Nissan designed the 2018 Maxima with a thoughtful application of everything they’ve learned in their more than 80 years of operation. Child safety locks are standard, keeping the little ones securely in place in the rear while traveling. Daytime running lights pop on automatically, illuminating the streets and alerting other motorists to your presence. Electronic stability control plays its part, actively sensing second-to-second the current road conditions and compensating by selectively braking to mitigate slippage. This is all complemented by a bevy of airbags, including front, rear, and side-curtain inflatables.

As you may imagine, these features have led to superlative crashworthiness results at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Nissan’s sedan grabbed the highest score of “Good” in every tested category, including Small Overlap Front, Moderate Overlap Front, Passenger- and Driver-side, Side, Head Restraints & Seats, and Roof Strength.

Hit us up at Kirkland Nissan today to discuss the 2018 Maxima!
2018 nissan maxima for sale in washingtonWhen it comes to selecting a safe and trustworthy midsize car, the 2018 Nissan Maxima doesn’t get any better. This model was recently named a 2018 Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), which hailed the vehicle for its crashworthiness, strength, and collision prevention.

And new for this year, the IIHS has introduced an updated crash test program, known as the passenger-side small overlap frontal test, which highlights occupant safety on the right side of a vehicle. The IIHS specifically developed this test to shed light on the fact that automakers were paying less attention to the front passenger area – specifically, they saw a need for better small overlap front crash protection. Under the new requirements, a “Good” or “Acceptable” passenger side rating is required to qualify for the institute’s highly-coveted 2018 Top Safety Pick award.

As for the 2018 Maxima, it received “Good” scores across all crashworthiness tests, which assesses a vehicle's small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restraints and seats. It also scored a “Superior” rating for front crash prevention and “Acceptable” scores for headlights and the ease of child seat anchors.

One of the reasons why the Maxima is so safe is because all trims come equipped with a standard Nissan Advanced Air Bag System for the driver and front passenger seats. This includes supplemental front airbags, seat belt sensors and an occupant classification sensor, front seat-mounted side-impact supplemental airbags, and roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental airbags with rollover sensors for front and rear outboard occupant head protection. If you are ever in the unfortunate situation of being in a collision, the 2018 Maxima works overtime to keep you protected.
