Nissan has done it again with the 2020 Rogue Sport! Officially available later this fall, this redesigned platform looks slicker than ever, but complements its handsome appearance with even more technology to keep drivers safer and better-equipped to handle Seattleâ€™s busy roads.

Currently, Nissan Safety Shield 360 is only offered on 2019 Rogue Sport SV and SL grades, however, that will all change come 2020 with it being standard equipment from the base level. This suite of protective features includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection and Rear Automatic Braking to help avoid collisions, as well as Lane Departure Warning and radar-based Blind Spot Warning for inspired confidence while driving. Rear Cross Traffic Alert and High Beam Assist are standard as well.

Parents of young kids and pets will also appreciate the Rogue Sportâ€™s innovative Rear Door Alert system, which uses a series of honks to remind drivers to check the back seat for passengers before leaving the vehicle. ProPilot Assist is also being made available on the 2020 model, providing single-lane hands-on driving assistance to reduce driver workload under certain conditions. All this complements the Rogue Sportâ€™s well-matched powertrain, which boasts a 141-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with Xtronic transmission in either front- or all-wheel drive.

At the 2019 Chicago Auto Show, Nissan pulled the cover off the 2020 Rogue Sport and wowed the crowd with the small crossoverâ€™s refreshed design. Itâ€™s now more handsome and cohesive looking than ever before with models expecting to hit dealership lots later this fall.

Starting with the front-end of the Rogue Sport, the vehicle wears a fresh new appearance with a revised hood design and a V-motion grille to help set the crossover apart from its bigger sibling, the Nissan Rogue. Around back, the bumper has been modified and is complemented by redesigned rear tail lamps that matches the more dynamic look of the front end with its aggressive lighting treatment and LED signature daytime running lights. Two new colors have been added to the line-up too (Nitro Lime Metallic and Monarch Orange Metallic) as well as a new 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheel design.

Aside from its styling, the 2020 Rogue Sport also offers more standard and optional equipment, like available ProPILOT Assist, Nissan Safety Shield 360 technology, an updated audio system with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as an available Bose Audio System with nine speakers. The powerplant continues to be a 141-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an Xtronic transmission in either front-wheel or Intelligent All-Wheel Drive configurations.
