Latest Nissan News For Seattle, Tacoma, And Bellevue Washington
At the 2019 Geneva Auto Show, Nissan pulled the cover of its latest concept called the IMQ. While this platform will not be sold in the automaker’s line-up of passenger vehicles, its advanced technology and design do signal the direction of Nissan’s next generation of crossovers.

The IMQ concept is based on a multi-motor all-wheel drive setup that relies on e-Power, which is found in select Japanese Nissans, to create 335 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. Unlike the automaker’s previous concept, the IMx, the IMQ is not purely electric – rather, it features a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine to complement the battery.

On the road, the IMQ incorporates the last innovations of Nissan Intelligent Mobility, which include ProPILOT Assist for semi-autonomous driving and Invisible-to-Visible technology, which uses augmented reality to simulate objects outside of a driver’s field of vision. Inside the cabin, four individual seats accent the interior, as well as a gliding wing instrument panel, a centre console that stretches the length of the IMQ, and a smaller, secondary screen that houses a Virtual Personal Assistant. The concept’s radically sculpted exterior also boasts 22-inch alloy wheels, hinged doors, and a single continuous surface where the body meets the glass and roof.
