Nissan today announced an incredible global milestoneâ€”the shipment of their 300,000th LEAF since the vehicle first went on sale in 2010. Itâ€™s a fantastic achievement for the worldâ€™s best-selling all-electric carÂ and sets the table for the amazing advancements the next-generation EV has in store when it releases later this year.

The 2018 Nissan LEAF will surely quickly add to the success of the line when it hits showrooms across Seattle and North America in the months ahead. Itâ€™s powered by sensational technology, including an engine that generates 147 HP and 236-lb.-ft. of torque, an increase of 40 horses and nearly 50-lb.-ft. over the 2017 model. And with a new 40-kWh lithium-ion battery, drivers will benefit from a 150-mile range on a single charge.

The new LEAF is a looker, as well. The familiar â€œV-Motionâ€ chrome front grille is featured, although itâ€™s finished by a striking blue geometric pattern thatâ€™s decidedly futuristic. The hood of the car now offers greater curvature for enhanced aerodynamics, too.
