It’s remarkable and uplifting to see the country come together following natural disasters and that’s exactly what happened following the destruction caused by Hurricane Irma. While relief efforts occurred far and wide, Hilary Hutcheson, a top fly-fishing guide out of Montana, turned to the power and utility of the Nissan TITAN to assist communities in the Florida Keys.

In conjunction with the Florida Keys Fishing Guides’ Association, Hutcheson used the 2017 Nissan TITAN to haul debris by the truckload out of communities. She wasn’t alone, either—quite a number
of locales and regional personalities joined in, including Bill Becker, radio host. He chose not to evacuate during Hurricane Irma in an effort to keep citizens abreast of all that was happening.

For her part, Hutcheson was inspired by her own experience surviving the ravages of Montana’s recent wildfires. She lost nine days of guiding, while those in the Florida Keys lost approximately 30. Thus, in a continued effort to give back, Hutcheson wasn’t done after her initial 24 hours of TITAN-assisted cleanup. She also spent the weekend in a fly fishing tournament to raise money for those impacted by Irma.

At Kirkland Nissan in Seattle, we wish all the best in the future to those affected by Hurricane Irma.
